Shikamaru and Naruto from "Naruto".Well... what should I say...? I kinda liked the thought of Naruto seeking Shikamaru's company as kids... Like... Shikamaru doesn't judge him, other kids hear from their parents that they should avoid Naruto. Shikamaru hears that too but he doesn't really "get it", he just sees that Naruto isn't such a bad boy. And that's why Naruto can enjoy hanging with him. To Naruto, just having someone who doesn't just chase him away... that's plenty...
But really, I just liked that thought, that if it's something bothering Naruto, he could go to Shikamaru. :')
Heh, and the "Understanding" title... it's just a word that's stuck since I started sketching it and I thought it should be used :')

I really like when you draw them as kids and I love the idea behind this picture ^///////^ I've always seen Shikamaru being like unbiased and un-judging since he was the only one to accept Chouji first as kids. Shika's just a great character ^0^ like I said before good job on the shading and the perspective and now that I look more I see like highlights in the grass and the bush that is a great affect. I wish I could draw perspective as good as you ^//////^
