Works only with Windows Vista!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

New improvements:

-New Aero enabled startmenu
-New taskbar (made by giannisgx89:[link] )
-New shell style
-Transparency working with maximized windows (check preview)
-New Start button and animation
-SP, SP1, and SP2 compatible
-Plus more!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Other stuff:

Object Dock (free): [link]

Dynamic creation wallpaper: [link]

Windows 7 Grass wallpaper: [link]

A big thanks to giannisgx89 for making an awesome aero taskbar: [link]

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

To enable this theme you must use Tuneup utilities that supports visual styles (worked great for me),
or patch your uxtheme files using vista glazz by codegazer: [link]

I recommend using Style selector simply because it works, and because you don't have to patch any system files or any files for that matter.

(Style Selector is a free 200 Kilobyte portable application that runs on 32-bit editions of Windows Vista.)

Download style selector:[link]

Hope you all enjoy it, any questions or comments welcome.

I'm off to bed! Cheers!

Update:
You can now use the theme with or with out user pic. Enjoy!

Hello, nopd11,

Vista Style Builder says:
Error testing MSStyles file. There was an error applying the Test MSStyles file, this usually signals an error in the MSStyles file.

TuneUp Styler 2 says:
The visual style could not be accepted.

Could it be that the style does not work with the german version of Vista?

nopd11 In reply to CarolinaBitan [2009-07-28 15:39:24 +0000 UTC]

Hmm, maybe I couldn't say for sure if it's because you're running the German version of Vista.
Are you running 64bit Vista? Or 32bit (x86)

Maybe you could try style selctor:

I FOUND OUT HOW TO MAKE IT FORCE TRANSPARENCY ON!!!!!!
HOLY SHIT!

In Ave's go to "Fonts, colors & System Metrics"
Then In the "Colours (Globals)" section, add or change "COLORIZATIONCOLOR:INT" to 0

Done!

Time to make a tutorial!

This is a great day for visual style progress

I see, well either way if I change white text to black or black to white it will look the same on different backgrounds. That's just how it goes with Aero start menus. Unless you have a solution?

Did you make this using Ave's Vista Style builder?
If so, It's possible to make this transparent for users of Vista Home Basic.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

nopd11 In reply to killermole23 [2009-07-19 15:27:31 +0000 UTC]

I did use Ave's, how is this done?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

killermole23 In reply to nopd11 [2009-07-19 18:03:26 +0000 UTC]

I'm not entirely sure myself, but a few visual styles made using Ave's force transparency on.
I too have Ave's, and am currently trying to find out.
K-Johnson's VS Clearscreen Sharp also forces transparency. In a reply to a message I posted, he said that he made it so the user did not have to choose the colours of the windows, or something.

I'll PM him, and ask if anything else was done.
If I find out myself, Tutorial time!

It's impossible to "force" aero glass transparency with any hacks, it's a hardware level requirement.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

killermole23 In reply to fediaFedia [2009-07-20 11:12:00 +0000 UTC]

Will these hacks work with Vista Home Basic, though?
If so, please explain.

fediaFedia In reply to killermole23 [2009-07-20 11:49:11 +0000 UTC]

Your bet bet is this: [link]
It wont enable real see through glass tho. And you also need a aero capable video card.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

killermole23 In reply to fediaFedia [2009-07-20 12:31:19 +0000 UTC]

I have the hardware, and have Aero enabled. I'm talking about enabling TRANSPARENCY on home basic, not just on maximized windows. I'm using the VS "Clearscreen sharp" and that forces transparency on somehow, and it works great on my machine.

Just because I'm on Home Basic doesn't mean I haven't got the hardware.
