2 submissions within a week! Well, almost! I'M ON A GROOVE HERE PEOPLE, IT'S A NEW RECORDI wonder if those caution tapes are there for a reason...?

Now this, I have to see *sits down*

*You now see a giant ball of red and yellow tape in front of you. Faint, but extremely angry mumbling can be heard from inside*

*I roll for initiative, and walk towards the ball of tape. I reach out an poke it*

*The mumbling gets, if possible, even angrier. It sounds like someone is about to have an aneurysm*

*I take my knife out. Slowly and cautiously, I cut a slit about three feet long down the ball of tape. I peer inside the dark ball.*

*All you see is darkness, but you can hear the mumbling now. Something about the tape looking much better in the pictures*

*I slowly step inside the giant tape ball. I call out:*
"Hello? Who's there?"

*Something stirs in the darkness. Suddenly the light from the hole is reflected off by something circular. Someone just put on a monocle.*
"Ah, good day old chap! Care to have a cup of tea with a slice of lemon? JAMES! TEA FOR OUR GUEST HERE!"

*Surprised, I back off a couple steps*
"Hello? Who are you? And who's James?"

*The character adjusts the monocle*
"Ah, where are my manners, I've not introduced myself! I am Mr. N. James is my trusted butler, a mighty fine fellow he is. Makes tea like you've never tasted! By the way, could I by chance interest you in some red, or perhaps yellow tape? My little experiment did not go as well as I would have liked, and have some left over."

*Feeling a little more confident, I step forward again*
"Well, it's nice to meet you, Mr. N. If you don't mind me asking, what experiment are you talking about?"

"The experiment, yes! I happened upon a rumor that red and yellow tapes are the new trend, or "in", as I've heard some fellows say. I decided to give it a try, and as you can see, the results were... Less than satisfactory. Tomfoolery I say!"

"Y'know", I say, "I think when people say 'in', they mean as a fashion statement, not that you should literally be in the tape. Try making clothes out of the tape, and wear them."

*There is a moment of silence. Finally:*
"Hmh. Clothes, you say? Are you sure? I mean, clothes made of tape do not sound very comfortable."

"Yes," I answer, "They're apparently actually very comfortable. I can't say I've ever tried it out for myself, but I've heard plenty of rumors."

"I shall have to try for myself!" *You hear rustling. There is now another smaller ball of tape inside the first one. After a moment of silence you can hear speech from inside:*
"What tomfoolery is this?! Who finds this comfortable? Blazes! I hereby donate all this tape to you! I hope you find better use for it than I did."

*I step inside the smaller ball of tape to see Mr. N wearing the tape clothing*
*Upon closer inspection:* "Oh, no no no. You can't just wrap yourself in tape. It'll all stick to you, and be impossible to remove, not to mention it wouldn't be comfortable at all. You've got to take measurements, make the clothes so that none of the stickiness is exposed, and then put them on."

*Suddenly, the ball of tape exclaims:* "Ah, the tea has arrived!" *without making a single sound, an old butler with long, curved whiskers appeared in the entrance.* "Some tea, sir?"

*I take the tea from the butler*
"Ah, thank you."
*I take a sip of the tea, and after a pause:* "So, how did you come to know Mr. N?"

*The ball of tape answers:* "Ah, James and I have known each other for a long, long time." *The butler continues:* "Yes, quite a while back Mr. N helped me when I was in dire peril, and I decided to repay him by serving him as a butler."

*I set the tea down, interested*
"Dire peril, eh? Sounds like an adventure. Is it a long story?"

"But of course. 'Tis a long story but I will try to make it short. T'was during my lonely days of a wandering battle-butler. I roamed around the land, looking for work. One day, I prepared my afternoon tea. To my horror I found that some scoundrel had stolen all my tea crumpets! While I was pondering my dire situation, Mr. N appeared down the road. I explained my predicament to him, and together we tracked down that biscuit-stealing low-life! Without his help I could not have succeeded, and so in return, I pledged my services to him." *The ball of tape takes a sip from the tea and sighs:* "Ah yes, that is a fond memory... Action! Adventures! Quests greater than life!"

"Hmm... Sounds like you've lead a pretty exiting life, then. I'm rather jealous. My life's always been the same old, same old. Sleep, eat, work. I've always wanted to go on an adventure."

"Then go, my friend! You're young, and the world is wide! Only the sky is the limit, and not even that if your ladders are tall enough!" *The butler chimes in:* "But first, how about some more tea?" *The tape ball nods sagely:* "Indeed, you can never have too much tea!"

"Haha, okay, then. I suppose I'll stay a bit longer for some more tea. And then I'll have to find an adventure somewhere out there..."

"It is dangerous to go alone! Here, take this!" *The ball of tape hands you a brand new roll of tape*

"Thank you. And now off to find an adventure!"
*Goes off for a life of adventure and thrills*

"There the chap goes. Ahh, to be young and adventurous again... Oh well. Some more tea, James?". "Certainly Sir!"

Ah, well you did a good job for a first kind-of-RP. The only RPing I've ever done myself is stuff like D&D, which is really fun when you lose the rulebook and make up your own rules (which is kind of the point of the game, anyway).
