This is a work in progress, strongly influenced by a beautiful portrait I once saw here. Unfortunately, the photo when I saved it to my computer didn't save with the appropriate name -- so for the life of me, I can't find the appropriate photographer to give credit to. If you happen to recognize the photo, please let me know so I can give credit.Right now it's all ink work and about a grand total of twelve hours stippling. The entire piece is 9" x 12" -- and that's larger than I've been doing for a while. Lately all of my work has been 6" x 8" or so.
It looks a lot better in person. I'm actually terrified to take a paintbrush to it because as a watercolour artist, there can't really be any mistakes. Wish me luck!

well in some ways thats good.. like a new life... im sure every parent gets nervous with a new child... its natural.. it means you care about your work... keep it up!!! only good things can come =]

Thanks so much! It doesn't seem to matter how many paintings I complete, I'm still a nervous wreck each time I pick up a paintbrush. LOL! Every painting is like starting all over again.
