One little slip up and your reputation as a jeweller could be completely ruined. Peri has become incredibly meticulous and careful when it comes to paying attention to the little things, just because you can't see it on the surface, doesn't mean it's not there. This means that she is also very adept at noticing when others are feeling down or upset and knows when to step up and help them, or step back and leave them be.

Peri loves giving gifts to those she cares about, be they friends, family or loved ones. Some times she will even extend this generosity to complete strangers. It was a trait that her family frowned upon, as they thought that she was allowing others a free meal without any of the work. The idea of having to spend a single night in a tent certainly doesn't appeal to the purple princess. She will spend hundreds of dollars on things that she wants more than what she needs and she does have a bit of a...problem with hoarding antique jewellery.

Periwinkle isn't known for talking about her past, nor is she all that happy to talk about her family ties...but if you must know her history...then so be it.

Our story start's with The Mauvine clan, a smaller branch of a large family that consisted of Dragon types. The larger family group, known as the Aubergine's, were well known for practising their traditional art involving gemstones and various rare metals. They would create fantastic pieces of art which were coveted by many. It was expected of the newer generations to carry on such traditions and further the family name, and for many years this was the case. Not a single member of the clan strayed from tradition. All this would change when a young girl with the Goodra totem was born into the clan.

If you guessed that this young child was Periwinkle, then you would be correct. Peri grew up on the clan's lessons about their traditions. The elders would boast and brag about how the Aubergine and all her smaller clans were famous for their unique way of carving gemstones. They prided their ability to able to see the rare treasure hidden beneath the dull rocky surface. To carefully cut free the beautiful gems and craft them into something even greater. It was said that their talent for creating such works of art was due to their totems. Only the mythical dragon types could make such beautiful works of art. True to the clan's heritage, Peri became enthralled by these stories, she yearned to craft artworks of her own. On top of her enthusiasm the eager dragon type seemed to have a knack for working with the precious materials. Something that made her parents gleam with pride.

Sadly her desire to create would be curbed as Peri soon found herself under the scrutiny of the clan elders, who were still living by tradition. They expected her to be just like those who had come before her, they thought that she was going to follow in her ancestor's footsteps and create traditional works of art. Instead of creating artworks such as sculptures, carvings or woven pieces, she began to create necklaces, earrings, bracelets even small tiara's. They were all beautiful pieces but according to the clan tradition, materials made of gemstones and gold were too pure to be worn by others. Their beauty was meant to be admired from afar, not worn to some common party only to be lost in a sea of people.

Peri disagreed with this idea, she thought that such precious materials could allow others to find the beauty in themselves. It was a notion that cause the elder's to reel back in disgust. When she refused to stop making her works, they took all her crafting materials away from her. Refusing to return them until she returned to tradition. Peri's parents begged her to agree. She would bring shame upon their family of she didn't stop, the Mauvine clan would be disowned.

Peri loved her parents, she loved her small clan but she couldn't agree to the elder's desires. She wouldn't be happy that way, and when she is unhappy her art suffers. Instead she volunteered to leave the clan and live elsewhere, not something that completely appeased the Aubergine Elders. However they agreed to leave her be, so long as she did not sell her 'art' under the family name. Reluctantly Peri complied, and soon she found herself without a name and a clan to return home to. Admittedly she was at a bit of a loss, where would she go? What would she do? While pondering these things she came across a flyer advertising a small building for sale amongst a small group of Islands.

Raccolto...she had never heard of such a place...and if she had never known of it, then perhaps the rest of her family was just as oblivious. Perhaps she could create her art there, away from the judgemental eyes of the clan elders. Without a second thought, Periwinkle packed her bags and headed off. Abandoning her family name and the traditions that came with it, all in hopes of creating a new life for herself and her artworks.

Maxwell hasn't quite mastered the art of pulling his owner away from her work.

Maxwell was a going away gift from Peri's parents, she had a persian back home, but she was too old to make the journey. Seeing their daughter so upset by this news, the pair decided to buy her a new kitten. Something she had been wanting for a while now. They thought that the precious kitty would help his owner get used to her new life by herself and bring her company. Peri's parents also believe that feline's bring good luck and fortune, something they believed their daughter needed desperately. Peri adores the small bug eye'd cat and takes him with her just about anywhere.

Talents:
She may not have liked her clan's traditional methods of art, but Peri was actually very good at weaving, thus she often weaves baskets to hold all her things.
Peri is very aware of which colours work with one another and which ones don't and as a result, which gems will work with which pokemon. A necessity given her line of work.
Peri also has a very good memory, she works with multiple pokemon who all want very different, very specific things, so she can't afford to get a commission wrong due to forgetfulness.
She also is very ingenious, sometimes things just don't go your way and you have to work with what you've got and Peri ALWAYS finds a way to make things work.

Loves spending time around children, hopes to have her own family one day
