Description
This is a pic I did for a Japanese Sentai series called Dai Ranger. Some of you may recognize the White Ranger... the footage in Dai Ranger was used in the American Power Rangers series. The pic isn't perfect, and I hope to improve on it soon. For more info on Sentai, go to[link] .

years went by i wpondered why the white ranger looked so different. then i found why... sentai footage from 2 different sentai teams.

I love resurecting postings that are dead and buried...I totally just found out about this whole Dai ranger thing today...completely thought that the series was American made to look like a japanese knockoff...so what did they do? make new costumes for the american actors for whenever there was a scene with them with helmets off? this is like MEGA confusing...

They basically make their own stories and then switch to footage from the Super Sentai series when the Rangers suit up. (And yeah, they do have their own versions of all the costumes, so the actors can de-helmet... and also interact with the other Japan-original characters. It'd be pretty hard to have Jason take on Goldar unmorphed if no new Goldar footage could be made!)
Lets 'em save a ton of money.

do bad they did not use the out fits from Dai Rangers for the American Power Rangers

it would have been nice, but i don't think the american audience back then were up to it, plus it would them more just to make new suits to fit the american actors.

that white ranger was only a little kid that version come to Dairanger and mightymorphin powerranger come from ZYUranger

in season 2 of MMPR , Tommy returned to the group as the new leader, the White Tiger ranger, after Zordan purified him from the green ranger powers with "White Light"
