one of the greatest heroes of spanish literature. (was he inspired by a 17th century real-life person, named alatriste, who was a warrior, or not? im curious.)
excellent drawing, nice design, and i like the resemblance with viggo mortersen's face, since he played alatriste in the movie of the same title.
excellent movie, great, realistic details on his face, perfect work on his pose, and on his clothing: the details on the folds of his clothes, and the texture of the skin/of his clothes is also very realistic, almost life-like, while the lighting/shading effects are great as well...
i love alatriste, and i believe that this painting does him justice.
