Description Finally finished HURR

After only sketching loose pictures in my Sketch Diary for 2 weeks I finally decided to make a more detailed piece again. Spent 4 hours + 3 hours on it, drawing with mechanical pencil and then with Polychromo colour pencils for the eyes.

I love Snow Leopards a lot and their eyes are just amazing to draw. The size is quite small (about 15*10 cm) but very detailed. I have to make more of these

Aww thanks, I just left them blank I guess^^ t's important to plan beforehand where the highlights go and then leave them white on purpose

Quick question (I love this btw it is AMAAAAZING) I myself use normal wooden pencils to draw but then I always see these beautiful masterpieces like this and mechanical pencils are pretty much always used. Is there a particular reason for this, like are mechanical pencils better or...?

well the best thing about mechanicals is that they are always sharp. That is really good especially for drawing small fur strands, so you don't have to sharpen your pencil all the time. But it's just a matter of preference I guess

I love the details in this Norey. That fur looks incredible and the black and white works so well with the colored eyes. I kind of wish this was bigger so we could see your pretty details because it looks amazing. Snow Leopards really are beautiful.

Beautiful. 8) I love how lightly-colored the eyes are, it brings just enough attention to them without being all "Hey! lookatmee!" I love the little details you paid attention to, like the curves in the nose and the way the fur flows, the whiskers too. 8O Gotta love the whiskers!
The spots look great, you blended them really well with the rest of the fur, so they don't look like a separate part of the coat. ^^ Overall, it looks great! Absolutely beautiful.

I really love to just stare into someone's eyes, when you're so close that you can see the tiny holes in the iris and the faint colour changes, very amazing

Ah! This is amazing! I love how realistic and detailed it looks. Beautifully captivating. The piece just draws your attention to the eyes. But I love how the fur looks so soft and the colors seem to just blend in perfectly.
