*giggle* You like Tails' top, eh? It's my own design, figuring that she'd have to have something specially engineered from Uncle Chuck to keep those things in line at warp speed. Armando is . He runs a yahoo group called furryvixeninflation, and it's such screwball fun. 
And they're both using unstable emerald shards to pull off these feats; such things deliver power in disproportionate places and/or ways, so they're discarded by most people. However, they have their uses. ; ) In this instance, the emerald shards in question give the user super strength... but they end up eventually needing it to carry around such massive sweater cows.

Are these emerald shards something you came up with, or something from the Archie comic universe? I've never really read much of those comics -- when I read any at all it was the Fleetway version, but I got sick of that when they ran out of ideas and good artists around #150.

I've hated the Archie comics with a hateful loathing despise of dislike for years. Roboticizing Lupe, making Sally totally out of character, turning the promising character that was Mina into a pop-singing Amy clone, making Hershey go from one terrible relationship with a pigheaded brutal drunken dumbass straight to another (from Drago to Geoffrey)... they just plain make poor decisions. I find it sad that I capture the characters better while trying to be OOC than they do trying to sell comics. And let's face it, that's always what it was about.
Oh, and I thought up the emerald shard concept.

Personally, I disliked the Archie comics when I saw them, mainly for the prominence of their made up characters. At the time STC's made up characters were very much secondary to the Sega characters, but when they started to get their own stories I started to get sick of it too. Also in Archie I disliked the idea of 'roboticiziation'; I find it a completely silly concept.
Fun fact. Amy became an archer in STC < ^.^ >. Not so fun fact. Eventually she ended up with some kind of technological bowgun thing which was essentialy a pistol < u.u >.

Oh, you dislike roboticization? As that was a prominent thing in SatAM and actually a very dark plot device that deepens the universe quite a lot, both in the reality of friends and family becoming enemies as well as the metaphorical symbol for all things pure becoming mechanized and tainted, I'm afraid I must disagree on that front. Not to mention, it was also a concept from day one, as every badnik you bashed released a furry creature.

I prefer STC's version. Creatures aren't turned /into/ robots -- which is the part I object to, since it sounds improbable even by the loose rules of science fiction -- but are trapped inside badniks as their power source.

Well, I dunno about the validity of saying turning flesh to metal is scientifically improbable while at the same time accepting a hedgehog's ability to run at the speed of sound with obviously disjointed legs, the medical impossibility of a fox having two tails that can rotate freely, much less fly, and the total impossibility of anyone going that fast without some sort of barrier and not getting some random debris puncturing their lungs.
Preference is preference. Bottom line.
