Description
This is a character that has been evolving in my head for years!His name is Emory Hill, and his story takes place in a small town in the 90s. Enthusiastic, sensitive, and determined to explore the supernatural, he spends his free time reading comics and wandering in the woods. His friends are the objects you see around himβat least, when his story begins. For despite being a friendly kid, his percuilar habits often push people away...until he meets a few classmates that are just as intrigued by the unknown.
I recently started writing a book about him, and I decided it would be fun to do some artwork about the story as well. I've been burnt out on writing lately, so in the meantime it feels good to explore visual aspects of the story. I hope to draw some of the other characters soon.

I wish I could fave this a hundred times! I love Emory!! It's so intriguing reading about his story and seeing objects related to him as a character! Your art style is so good here - I LOVE how you drew him! And the details of the objects combined with each object's unique quirky character (I'm looking at you, keychain) shows how much your art style has absorbed all of the amazing things you've learned through doing detailed studies! Also, I really like your use of line in Emory's picture - I love the lines of his hair and face. What a plucky kid!
