Poor mortal. The Summoning trial to become one of the Daughters of Coldharbour is a truly terrifying experience, I've been through it. It's nothing but pain and suffering. Scream and cry for mercy is all you can do but he won't give it to you. You can only suffer until he has completed his task then lie crying in pain and fear until the suffering ends. I cannot hate my own father for it though, after all, he is my daddy and I love him. Well done though

Little does teenage Serana know, it's about to get much, much worse. Hearing her talk about how degrading the ceremony was made my blood boil.

Molag Bal has to be the Daedric Prince I hate most. That which he represents makes me feel particularly livid. And poor Serana! When she said giving herself to Molag Bal & refused to talk about, I REALLY wanted to give her a hug!

Very powerful pic for those who have played Dawnguard to its conclusion. I couldn't wait to meet Valarica and confront her about what she and Harkon did. Qudos to Bethesdas writers that I wanted to make Harkon pay for everything he had done...
...and for added irony; I used the mace of Molag Bal to beat him into oblivion.

Update on Harkon killing spree: Frustration level= 80% (i could never kill him in time for the soul trap spell to work LOL.) Satisfaction= 100% (killing Harkon only once is fun, killing him multiple times on low difficulty is the best.)

Lol. If you want to capture his soul use the soul trap spell rather than he enchantment on the mace. I've just completed another play through myself; it is rather satisfying.

I have a love-hate respect towards Molag, but I felt so bad when I realized what happened to Serana.

I also shuddered at the thought of what she had been through, all because her father's fear of death had grown into an obsession. I just completed the Dawnguard questline today, confronting Harkon and battling him. I was very emotionally stirred when he went on about how sentiments mean little to eternal beings like vampires. Bethesda sure know how to make their villains...

You bet she's gonna have a heart attack; who wouldn't in her shoes? Not only is the shrine of Molag Bal clearly not a sight for minors, but it's also possible that Harkon could be discussing his kid's near future as the Daughter of Coldharbour... *shudder*

But my character, Hicks (his last name; his first name is Russell), would be there to comfort her. Hicks is just kind of picky when it comes to people, and usually finds the flaws in everyone (FAT LYDIA ATE ALL MY GODDAMN DAEDRA HEARTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!), but Serana... that was amazing. And Hicks and I both abhor Harkon for the same reasons: he's a bipolar freak who bullies both his wife, his daughter, and me and everyone else, he is a racist prick who makes rude remarks about Hicks' lycanthropy... he deserved to die.
Still, Harkon was a brilliant villian; better then Alduin, so I give him credit for that. Plus, I was so stoked during the battle when the "Dovahkiin" theme was playing as I battled a Vampire Lord who was shouting "I will darken the skies!"

My characters, both male and female, also treat Serana with all the friendliness in stock, and one male in particular has fallen prey to my sudden whim to start a Serana shipping.
I haven't played through Dawnguard yet - it's been less than a moth since I got it, and I am taking my time, doing a little stuff here and there when I have a spare moment. The Forgotten Vale is so huge, and Jiub's opus is so unfoundable - I still have plenty of things to occupy myself with.

Yeah... For Jiub's opus, there are some videos that have the page locations. I'd reccommend getting all 10, because then you get the finished book as well as "Saint Jiub's Locket", which increases carry weight by +50, and I think it also increases Stamina +30.
But Dawnguard is awesome. Serana is awesome, the Dawnguard is awesome, the crossbow is awesome, the Forgotten Vale is awesome, and Harkon is terrible.

Sure thing. There's one video that instead of doing it from 1 to 10 in order, he goes through the different sectors or sections of the Soul Cairn, but I can't remember what the video was called or who it was from. You'll find it though; I'm sure.
