Description I did the LAM first so I could go back to the parent design and make the former look like a logical evolution from the latter. So here's the original design how I thought it would look, the WSP-1A. It is this machine some technican looked at in pieces and thought it would fly with a little rearranging.

Flimsy, fast, the Wasp is one of the "bug" series that is said to be easily crushed by other machines (like... a bug). Typically tasked in areas which combat is least expected, I expect it to be just as effective in battle as the hoardes of Leos from Gundam Wing.

never really liked the LAMS , I always thought that the transforming should be left to the autobots and decepticons, it strayed too far from the idea of a massive bipedal tank clunking across the battlefield, but anyway, its some wicked art.

Generally I agree with you, though I accepted the notion that LAMs were a specialized variant not intended for general combat. It's why all LAMs were light mechs, and fared terribly against true Aircraft and Battlemechs. Really they're supposed to be the special operations forces, or backwater planets looking to cover both air and ground forces in a pinch (though given their expense, prolly not likely).

Though as we all know LAMs are pretty much dead in the Battletech sense.

Two well-placed 50-cal rounds, bye bye arms.

The wasp only has four points of armor in the arms, and four points interior structure.
