OLD VERSION. Check out the latest version! - Click Here

"I've accomplished so much in my career. But even still, I wish my sisters are all still here."

R.M.S. Olympic (launched 20 October 1910, scrapped 1935) was a British ocean liner owned and operated by the White Star Line. She is the lead ship of the Olympic-class ocean liners. Unlike her younger sisters, Olympic enjoyed a successful 24-year career, including a wonderful war record, transporting 200,000 troops to war, and being the only troopship to sink a German U-boat in World War I.

This is my first publicly published human RMS Olympic design! At the time, I didn't change much compared to Titanic's design because I thought that since they were essentially twins, they shouldn't look too different from each other. That mindset aged well.

It is sad to outlive your younger siblings

Completely agree.
Imagine being her, one day, you hear about your younger siblings talk about how they hope that they'd be like you, the next day, they're gone.

And just four years apart for each loss.

And at that point, for her, it feels like breaking point and at some point get overwhelmed by remembering their losses that you'd take your own life to join them.

For the Olympic, she had to be scrapped in 1934/35.

At the bright side, she's reunited with her sisters, and she left a legacy of success, especially in World War I.

I agree, sad to see Olyvia trying to live it down. I actually teared up making this drawing, in fact.

Well that's one emotional drawing Poor Olyvia. It's sure is one hell of a drawing i tell you

And i get now what you meant with i should take a look at the backround! Jeez it's a bit saddening to see them like that but they were and still are as graceful and grand like ever before!

The moment I drew her outline, I was like, wait a minute, isn't Olympic the only one to not sink?

Yeah, it's pretty unfortunate that Nikki and Brittney sunk, and imagine being in Olyvia's shoes, having to live through both her sisters sinking, and getting some blame in Nikki's own where they say that she could have saved Titanic's passengers (In reality though, Carpathia's captain told her not to).

Yeah she was scrapped in 1938 i think due to a collission with a fireboat called nantucket. They feared she would cause the same things like Nicci and Brittney.

Olyvia did receive her sister's call for help but she was to far away to help. SS Frankfurt, The Californian, Cap Verde....all these people tried to help but only Cathy was able to save at least the survivors of the sinking....

I'm pretty sure she still has nightmares of seeing her sister sinking but not been able to help.

Adding to that, the Great Depression didn't help Olyvia's situation at all, and she carried very few passengers in those years because she became obsolete compared to the newer ships of the 30's.

The moment she received Nikki's call for help, she quickly changed course and she raced to rescue her passengers even though she was extremely far away. She was told by Carpathia's captain to stop going for the rescue because the Carpathia was closer and the survivors might fear that if they saw the Olympic, they'll think that it was the ghost of the ship that they just saw sink, because Olympic looks almost the same as Titanic. It must've been extremely difficult to break the ice about Nikki's sinking.

But at least Olyvia will go down a hero, being the only troop ship to sink a U-boat and carried about  100,000 troops in WWI. She truly deserved the nickname "Old Reliable"
