Description Whoa, art spam. I started this at one in the morning when I was working on papers and stuff and needed some stress relief a few weeks ago. Not much to say other than I love Clive and I love stars and I feel like I haven't drawn him in forever. I know you can't see stars like that over London, but maybe in Layton world you can I like to think he's found a way up to Dreycott's rooftops and he goes up there to think and relax every once in a while when he can't sleep. Or maybe he's waiting for someone

A very nice drawing and, it seems, a brilliant way to beat some stress. Clive may be a murderer, but he's a good stress-reliever The stars look incredibly realistic, especially when viewed at its preview size, and Clive is just a small biscuit underneath the vast array. At that size and with the expression you gave him, he really does seem to be pondering something. Not scheming or plotting (like normal), but really thinking about life in general. If you'll allow me to headcanon off your drawing, maybe he's thinking of his parents and what they might think of him now. How tall he's grown or if he's making them proud. Or maybe about Constance and her health. How she won't be around much longer and he'll be alone once more. But, no, he couldn't think like that. He had to take care of her whilst she was still here and a gentleman wouldn't be so selfish; he'd put her first. Or maybe he's just thinking of Amelia and how lovely she looked with her hair down today

I know this is besides the topic of your drawing but I don't think I've ever mentioned how much I love your depiction of teen Clive's messy-ass hair. As a twenty-whatever he is in LF, it's sort of sticking up but as a teenager, it's just out of control. I think it gets messier and longer with each drawing, and it makes me think of when Amelia and friends visited Dove Manor and Constance embarrassed The Boy. Good times.

Waiting for someone? Well, there's a shooting star there. I wonder if he's making a wish about that special someone as well

Sometimes I wonder if I draw Clive stuff just so you'll share more of your headcanons because 👌👌👌 (also stop giving me ideas for drawings because I definitely don't need to draw Clive becoming a blushing mess all because Amelia decided on a different hairstyle, but really want to).

Really glad you like his hair. I like the idea of teenage Clive being so caught up in his plans and investigating that his grooming habits fall by the wayside a bit. Not that he has bad hygiene (Constance would never stand for that), but maybe he doesn't give his hair as thorough a brushing as it needs or forgets to tuck in his shirt and straighten his tie. Looking back on my older drawings, it does look like his hair gets progressively worse. Maybe by the end of the story he'll just have this massive bush of hair that nearly covers his entire garbage face  Get a haircut, Clive, or your servants will cut it for you while you sleep :/

The stars were fun to draw, definitely stress-relieving (except when I was trying to figure out to space them and how many and what size etc.) Clive would probably tell himself he's too old for that shooting star nonsense. But he'd probably make a wish anyway, just in case
