Description i talk about it so here it is, this is the Nazi cigar cutter that is in my families possession. i am not a Nazi nor was any of my family members. my grandpa was a machine gunner in WW2 for America and he brought this back. we don't know if he killed the Nazi or if he just ripped it off of the dead guys body. he wouldn't talk about the war much. can you blame him though? if you were in what is basically hell on earth, would you talk about it? i want to know more about this little piece of silver, steal, and leather but the man who brought it back from hell is now in heaven. the pouch is a little damaged but still in one piece (thankfully), the blade is rusted, and there is some green crap forming on the silver where the blade come into. you can offer me all the guns, tanks, and ammunition in the world but i will not sell this cigar cutter.

Interesting. You know I once knew of a man that killed a German soldier that was on horseback. Upon searching the man's body he found the guy's pistol, a beautiful, well-kept Luger P08, I think you know the one. He was always saying that he would really like to find one and take it home with him. And ever since he found it he was showing it off and stuff, and he accidentally shot a tree, because of how touchy the pistol was, and he decided to put it away. After a while his commanding officer heard another shot & he went to gripe him out. When he got to him he seen that the man shot himself with that touchy gun. they could not stop the bleeding because of where it hit him and he eventually died.

I've held one of the PO.8's before. it looked amazing. was a bit pricey tho. but what can you expect from a pistol that only German officers carried and allied soldiers were executed if they were caught with one.

What would you say a PO8 goes for nowadays? (Good condition: Fires effectively, not scratched up, well oiled, etc.)

i'd say (this is coming from right off the top of my head) 3 to 5 thousand dollars. also what bullet does it fire? a 9mm or a 7mm?

it can, but if it's chambered for the 7mm Mauser, it's older and more valuable.
