After a bit of a hiatus, I'm throwing my hat into the ring. Went with the squid as A: marine animals make interesting hybrids when combined with humans and B: they're the only sea creatures that have an equivalent to hands (their tentacles, of course).Hand drawn, painted in Painter, and polished in Photoshop.

I like the squid idea a lot, it's one that's not used often. That and squids are my favorite sea creatures. this is gorgeous, great work.
