Ink. Prismacolor Markers. Water Color. Coffee. Nice heavyweight $7 sheets of watercolor paper. And thanks!

The colors on this are absolutely gorgeous, and I love how they all match and make the image pop. I really love all of the small lace and the hair is great.

Thing I love most in this one is the background- beautiful!!! I'm not saying that I don't like the rest of this picture! Background fits so perfectly that I can't take my eyes of it!

huh... I was afraid the background was too boring and empty... and possibly looked out of place. I'm less worried about it now I think, thanks.

really colorful, but not at the same time, the colors are not too bright, and the "2d" effect in the clothes, wow, superb, i want you to make me a corset like that
See, im not the only one (but the most sweet, smart, cute...one) who want you to post more art! and like i said the other day, you HAVE TO do real media arts, there you art, and its famous!

thanks, your comments are always so insightful. The pose actually came first, and then I worked the theme around it. Originally, I had her holding an umbrella as opposed to the cane... but the cane worked out much better... and wasn't such a pain in the ass to draw.

Especially concerning the inner structure of the umbrella. Getting all those fixtures right can be quite the hassle.

well, I was gonna have it closed... as opposed to open. Open I don't think would be a problem... but trying to make all the fabric & ruffles pushing together in a closed position would have looked weird unless I had some really good reference material... which I couldn't find. I plan on doing a picture soon that incorporates an open parasol.

thanks... this was probably the first time i've ever picked out a color scheme before I started coloring... something I should really attempt to do from now on.

For reals
whenever I get an Idea I usually picture it in some sort of color.
And if I don't
it goes uncolored X3
