A humorous piece I did to add to my portfolio. It's a scene from a humor series I read by Pat McManus, about his childhood escapades in backwater Oregon. I think the piece captured the humor of a story about him having to outwit a neighbor's bull to get to prime fishing locations.

Very scruffy. I also think he didn't realize he had a fanbase with 12-year-old girls; he was pleased.

This piece is so cute, it has so much character and such an amusing message. I love works that have personality, lately I have seen a real lack of them, this is the first one in a long time I've come across!
Most of my pieces are lacking it though, but when I see one I like I just have to comment on it <3

I'm a huge fan of Patrick McManus, and when I saw this thumbnail, that story by him is the first thing I thought of! So be gratified.

One day I want to illustrate more of his stories, but as he paints such complex scenes, it's hard to illustrate everything. I think I'd like to do his first deer story next, if anything
