Description
Kopa and Mara were traversing the grassylands surrounding the Pride territory. Mara looked as if he was on edge the whole time, yet his indifferent expression remained unhinged.
"Hey.. So, what happened to your leg?" The young prince asked, trying to break the rather awkward silence between the two cubs. There was more silence before the Outlander finally answered.
"Just a scratch from an accident. That's all." Mara shrugged, not even shooting a glance at Kopa.
"Ah, okay!" The prince smiled slightly. "Look! We're here!" He added seconds later, noticing the large tree in which Rafiki resided.
"Phew, I was getting worried" Mara said jokingly, as he fastened his pace forcing the Prince to do the same. As they got to the tree's root entrance the cubs heard footsteps on the wood. Soon, a large monkey creature walked out to greet the cubs, giving Mara a good scare. The Outlander looked rather unnerved, backing up and puffing up the fur on his back.
"Hello your majesty! What brings you to the old Rafiki today?" Rafiki smiled warmly. He seemed unbothered by the other cub's reaction so far.
"Hello Rafiki! I found this cub around the watering hole. Their leg is pretty hurt!" Kopa glanced at Mara, a bit surprised by his reaction. "What's wrong?" He said, this time to his new friend.
"I- I thought your father's friend would be a lion! I've never seen a creature like.. this!" Rafiki just laughed at the cubs reaction. He didn't seem bothered in the slightest.
"Don't worry Outlander! This old monkey won't hurt 'cha!" He got a bit lower, into a position similar to human crouching, as to reduce the intimidation the kit might've been feeling. "Show me your leg, I'm happy to help Kopa's friends. No matter where they come from"
