I actually want to believe that the reason for Grandfather's fall into the darkness was due to the loss of his wife (who I like referring to as Hazel from the headcannon) from their second son's birth, thus leading the man to once more be "shattered".

So, the story in this picture is about Nigel visiting his Grandfather, who is rather nostalgic and melancholic due to the fact that today is his and Hazel's wedding anniversary. This makes Nigel wonder if his Granny's passing was the beginning of Grandfather's start of darkness? What do you guys think? I don't own the rights to any of these characters.
