who mean nothing, except to those
who mean even less.
You might not be a ghost under your T-shirt,
if you had been well kept
by those who meant a lot,
in a time when a lot had meaning.
Your ghostly un-giving words
riddle though me,
and leave little ghostly holes.
However, I suppose that if ghosts
are impervious,
so are the wounds
they supposedly leave.
I can see the P-A-I-N letters
across your societal issued,
Ghost T-shirt.
And they don’t scare me
like I think they’re meant too.
And I think that scares you,
vehement ghost.
