A work from the "Pavement and Patience" series;
One of my worst fears is that of being involved in a deadly car accident. They say that anything over 45 mph is out of your hands. I believe that impatience, in some form or fashion is the primary culprit of vehicular accidents in this day and age. We must ask ourselves, "What is a vehicle on the road other than the sum of it's parts, and the person driving it?" I aim to illustrate the merciless forces involved in car accidents, through the anthropomorphic fusion of vehicle and man. Through this imagery unfolds the visual depiction of our own mortality, irresponsibility, and the fallibility of the machines we take for granted.

This conveys the violence of a crash so well. I have had that same thought about cars and impatience often. Great emotive piece.

Wow, the shading here is amazing. It amazes me how much negative energy you infused in this piece with shading. The body of the throwing car seems perfectly posed, like he was frozen just in that position. The motion of the car being thrown is my favorite part of this picture. How you managed to show that much movement in a still frame astounds me.
