Might as well exorcise another demon here -by discussing the nightmares of Sir Walter Scott ("Tales of my landlord""Peverell of the Peak"...)
(1) Opened a chest and found the corpse of a little girl he accidentally locked in there and forgot about.
(2) Fought a serpent with a woman's head.
(3) Was at a garden party and went into the entrance hall. There he saw a painting of a doctor dissecting himself ! He screamed and woke up !
