Description seriously, i can't be the only one who noticed the similarities between zangoose (the pokemon) and speed racer (or particularly, speed's car)

speed is in the weirdest pose in all that stock art, it didn't translate very well with zangoose's stubby legs. oh well, i tried.

a lot of layering of pencil-marker-gel pen-marker-more gel pen went on here. GOD, DONT I KNOW HOW TO USE AN ERASER?? ITS ALMOST LIKE I *WANTED* PENCIL LINES VISABLE OR SOMETHING. JEEZ HOW UNPROFESSIONAL.

you can touch it but mostly it's a lot of layering. also alcohol based markers cause pencil to smudge/run, so you can get a shading effect just by brushing the pencil lines inward with the marker.

add gel pen on top of that and more marker on top of that and more gel pen and HORRAY

but mostly it's the pencils and markers.

also the nice thing about alcohol based markers is if you lay down one layer of colour, let it dry, then add another it comes out as a slightly different/bolder/gradiated colour.

huh, interesting. i never really tried markers too seriously because i figured it was out of my league. xD may give it a shot eventually though

i'd reccomend if you want to futz around with stuff like this, use markers with a brush pen nib. prismacolours don't have this, though they are fairly cheap alcohol based markers.

mine are deleters, though copics also have the brush nib (and are more expensive) soooo
