That is amazing. I love the detail, and the angle, and the composition. It's beautiful. I love the eyes especially I think.

Fantastic use of media. Your shadows are strong and your highlights are impressive. The composition itself is well placed, it's balanced and pleasing to the eye. I like your choice to blur certain bits, it adds depth and personality.
My only question is that it looks as if you've used a lighting flare filter near his right thigh? I think it would be a much more powerful image if you toned it down a little, if only because it seems a little bit of a distraction at present.
'sides that, awesome job. :D

Heh heh.. That is not a filter. It's a real lens flare. The picture is frame and I'm a very bad photographer. Some day, in the never never, I will retake this photo and do this piece justice.
Thanks for the great comment.

Oooh, hah. Okay. Yes, please think about re-taking this photo 'cause I'd love to see it without the glare. :D

The sharp contrasts are indeed the strengths of this piece.

Lighting sources are captured masterfully and for a medium thatβs notorious for smudging, I find that its incredible you didnβt wreck everything by adding so a well executed background.
Conversely
Get rid of that lense flare before I have an epileptic seizure. It RUINS everything and cheapens the image.

Very cool, your technique is wonderfully loose and free. Great use of value (not that there's much colour in this one) and excellent composition. It just pops.

This is my FAV- this is gorgeous. Your attention to detail is amazing, and the amount of work you put in is very evident in how much this piece stands out.
