Discord: I-I swear, I didn't secretly have a foal with Fluttershy!

Celestia: Discord, it's not exactly possible for you to have a foal with Fluttershy as of now... at least as far as I know. I'm not mad at you.

Discord: PHEW. I thought you were gonna kill me.

Celestia: Don't be ridiculous. *nuzzles Discord* I always want to kill you.

Turbid and Courtesy: *peeks around the corner before walking into the room nervously*

Turbid: Huh... I was sure some sort of war was going to break out.

Courtesy: What kind of war?

Turbid: I dunno. Maybe a bunch of cannons being fired everywhere.

Twilight: Hey, um, I hate to interrupt, but are we just going to ignore the elephant in the room?

Celestia: Oh, of course. Where is this foal I've heard about?

Discord: *points to cot*

Celestia: *walks over to it* ...I see.

Discord: Don't think I had feelings for Fluttershy just because I'm married to her in another dimension!

Celestia: Don't worry, I don't. *lifts up foal with her magic* Besides, that thought isn't worth our time.

Discord: Sooo... what thought is worth our time?

Celestia: Well... what do we do with her? I mean, this isn't at all her own dimension... I don't know if it would be safe to keep her here or not.

Discord: What danger is there in keeping her?

Celestia: There's no danger for us, I shouldn't think. From what Turbulence and Courtesy told me, there shouldn't be any imbalence between our own world and her own world, since the portal was shut. *she places her own the ground gently* No... I'm thinking more of her. She doesn't have a mother here...

Twilight: What? Yes she does!

Celestia: ?

Discord: Look in a mirror.

Celestia: ...Me? But... I'm not her-

Twilight: And Luna wasn't Iremia's biological mother, and yet the two of them couldn't be more close!

Discord: And, really, how would she even figure out that you're not her real mother? I mean... Fluttershy's... *he stares at the foal* Oh, please, Celestia, let me keep her! She's so much like Fluttershy!

Celestia: But... won't she want to one day know that I'm not-

Discord: There's no way for her to find out! Celestia, please! *stares at her with puppy eyes*

Celestia: Well, I can't say no to that face... *looks at the foal, who is now hugging her leg, making her smile* You know what? I'm sure there's a reason that alternate Discord gave her to us... So why not?

Discord: YAAAAY! *squeezes Celestia* thankyouthankyouthankyouthankyou!

Celestia: o-o; Err... you're... welcome... dear... Ican'tbreathe

Twilight: *gradually pulls Discord off of her* Okay, so it's settled. We're keeping her.

Turbid: Oh my gosh, Courtesy! You know what this means?

Courtesy: What?

Turbid: We're big siblings!

Courtesy: You're right... YAAAY!

Celestia: I guess that means we need to think of a name for her.

Twilight: Well, since it was Discord's idea to keep her... maybe he should think of a name?

Celestia: Good idea... Discord?

Discord: ...

Everyone else: ...

Discord: Huh... I just thought of one, but... eh, nevermind.

Celestia: What?

Discord: No, it was a dumb name.

Celestia: Let me hear it anyway.

Discord: It just popped into my mind for a second, but... Distant Memory. Since, you know, she reminds me of Fluttershy.

Celestia: ...

Discord: ...Yeah, I know, it was a silly-

Celestia: Sure!

Discord: What?

Celestia: I think that's a lovely name, Discord.

Turbid: I honestly thought it was kind of depressi/slap/ ...ow ;-;.

Discord: Soo... her name's Distant Memory then?

Celestia: If that's what you want, then yes.

Discord: Depends. Say, Distant, what do you think?

Distant Memory: ...Y...ye...

Courtesy: Is... is she trying to say something?

Distant Memory: Ye... Yay!

WOO! Since I'm still pretty ill, I decided to scrap whatever angsty Luna drawing I was going to draw and finish this thing. So yes, the foal's name is Distant Memory, since she's a literally a memory of Fluttershy. The story doesn't end here though, that's just how she came to be c:

Also, after all of this, Celestia and Discord had to hide Distant for nine months and pretend that Celie was pregnant during that time to avoid questions from everyone. It was an interesting time.

I'm also laughing at the fact that no one here is questioning why Distant is like a week old and yet Fluttershy most likely died in the other universe like 100 years ago... Is no one going to question that? Really? Okay...

Also, notice how the word 'what' is in each title of this story. This story is officially called 'What'. Because I made a fluttercord foal. So yes, I hoped you liked 'What'. I had fun writing it.
