Description
All you wanted was a simple party. You just wanted to invite your friends over for some fun, play a few games, and eat a lot of food. Apparently that was too much to ask for. Within minutes, chaos had erupted. There was yelling, loud laughter, punch being spilled, music bellowing from speakers and flamboyant, off-key singing. You're also fairly certain that someone had set your microwave on fire attempting to make popcorn. This had been a very bad idea.

You sat off to the side, holding a red solo cup of punch. You didn't drink it though, in fear someone may have spiked it without notice. You could only sigh as your Mina jumped off your furniture playing air guitar. Someone had dragged in a giant, color changing lamp, which flashed the room numerous shades. The room roared with so much noise, you weren't sure how much longer you could handle it. Suddenly, however, every light in the house went out. And with that light disappearing, so did the noise. The pitch black of the room seemed to take everyone's breath away for a moment.

"Aw, man!" Mina cries, "That was my favorite song."

Everyone starts to mumble about what could have caused the power outage. As your eyes adjust to the lighting, you begin to make out people's silhouettes. You figure you should go out, and check the power box. Making your way through the crowd of people, you rest your hand on Denki's shoulder. The poor boy nearly jumps out of his skin.

"Ah, (Y/N)! You scared me," he laughs sheepishly, hand rubbing the back of his neck in embarrassment.

"Sorry," you apologize, "I need your help. Come with me." You take his hand before he can respond, and drag him away. He follows you in silence. He couldn't control the furious blush rising to his cheeks as lewd thoughts bombard his mind. His crush dragging him into seclusion in the middle of a power outage? I'm sure you know where his thoughts are wandering.

Slipping out the back door, you pull him further into the backyard. The chilly night air bites his skin, but it didn't seem to bother you.

"So, uhm, what are we doing?" Denki questions quietly, blush darkening at your expected answer.

"We're going to the power box. I figured we could get the power back if we use your quirk," you explained. You release his hand, and open the power box on the side of your house. Denki's face falls, and all of his hopes crumble. Of course. He should have known.

"Oh... I see," he mumbles with a pout. He shouldn't have gotten his hopes up. As he raises his hand to see what he could do, your hand traps his once again. His head turns to you with a questioning look as he tries to stop his face from flushing.

"Don't... short yourself out, though. It's alright if you can't fix it. I don't want you to hurt yourself," you state. He smiles at this. You were worried for him! Denki's mood shot up immediately. He would do everything he could to fix your power. He'd be your hero! He'd save the day for his damsel in distress! With that, Denki shocks the power box, and... only makes things worse...

Sparks fly out from box, and Denki jumps back to protect you. He shields you, tucking your head to his chest. After the sparks die out, you both stare at the smoke flowing out. That couldn't be good. The two of you continue to stare in silent shock. Denki still held you to his chest, too surprised to move.

"Well... at least you tried," you breathe with an equally breathy laugh. You glace up at his shocked expression. He nods slowly, eyes meeting yours. Before you know it, you're both laughing at the event. You laugh until you can't breathe, leaning into him for support. He slings his arm over your shoulder.

"We tried... we tried," he chuckles, looking into your eyes once again. Maybe it was the still fading laughter. Maybe it was the chilly, clear night as the stars shone as brightly as your eyes. Maybe it was because he was your hero, even if he didn't save the day. Maybe it was because it was just the perfect time, but everything seemed to fall into slow motion.

You both lean into each other, lips coming closer. Finally, the distance is closed. You aren't sure if was his quirk or just pure connection, but you feel sparks. The hand around your shoulder falls to your waist, the other hand cupping your cheek. You hands slowly rise to wrap around his neck, fiddling with his hair. Needless to say, your first kiss was pretty perfect. That is until...

"WOAH! DENKI YOU'RE SO LUCKY!" Mineta screams, peaking behind the corner, "I WISH I COULD KISS (Y/N)!"

"MINETA, YOU PERV! GET OUT OF HERE!"
