Description     Exiting your last class of the day as the bell rings, you weave your way through the crowded halls.  You block out everyone's voices with the music that was blaring through your earbuds.  It was finally Friday, and you just wanted to get home.  However, you change your course as you spot your friend, Peter.  Popping your earbuds out, you jog to catch up with him.  It wasn't hard to get a hold of him since he was walking aimlessly at a lifeless pace.  A frown cuts across your lips as you get a glimpse of his face.  He was looking at the ground with sadness and anger.  His head snaps up as you place a hand on his shoulder.

"Hey, Pete," you greet happily, matching your pace to his.  He nods, quietly greeting you in return.  You wanted to ask what was wrong, but you knew he wouldn't tell you.  Trying to clear the air, you clear your throat and replace the frown on your face with a smile.

"Where ya headin?" you ask, glancing around the halls.  They weren't as bustling anymore.  Probably because you were going the opposite way of the exit.

    "Detention."

This grabs your attention immediately.  Your head snaps over to meet his gaze, but it was focused on the bland floor tiling.  Your eyes are wide and eyebrows furrowed in concern.

"Detention?  How did you get detention?" you ask dubiously.  He doesn't respond, but shakes his head sadly.  You sigh.  You wouldn't mind this pity party if he would just tell you what was going on.  After weeks of being ignored, your patience was slipping.  You grab his shoulder gently, but still strong enough to pull him back a bit.

"Parker," you start, "Stop ignoring me.  I get you're upset, but that doesn't give you the excuse to be so damn rude."

He doesn't take his eyes off the ground as you wait for a response.  He shrugs off the hand you had placed on his shoulder.

"I'm going to be late..." he mumbles before stalking off.  You stare after him.  You'd never admit it, but it stung.  You run a hand through your hair as you sigh.  This was getting real old, real fast.  You weren't one to chase after people.  Yet here you were.  You jog to catch up with him again.  When you do, you don't so much as glance at him.  You just continue walking.  You can feel him eyeing you, but you ignore it.  Staring straight ahead, you walk determinedly.

"What are you doing?" he asks.  You turn to him with a glare.

"Oh, so now you wanna talk, huh?" you huff, "I'm going to detention."

His eyebrows furrow in confusion, "You have detention?"

You shake your head silently and keep walking.  No, you didn't have detention.  You were just going to join your good, old pal Peter.  As you enter the room, the teacher ignores you.  You watch as Peter sits down in the middle of the room.  You sit to the left of him, a seat in between the two of you.  He stares at you, concerned for what you had planned.  He knew he made you mad, and it's never good when that happens.

The Captain America video plays quietly as Peter drums his fingers uncomfortably on the desk.  You had been staring at him with a bitch face for ten minutes now.  He wouldn't dare make eye contact with you.  He was as good as stone if he did.  He hears you shuffle and tap away.  He looks over at you out of the corner of his eyes to find you glaring at your phone.  Clicking something, you set your phone back down on the desk and go back to staring at him.  This time, however, your face held mischief.  He takes a deep breath, wondering what you had planned.  You face your body towards him, resting your right elbow on the desk.  You lay your head on your fist, breaking out into a small smirk as the sad, slow music begins to play.  He couldn't figure out why, but the tune seemed familiar.

    "Lonelyyyy.  I'm Mr. Lonelyyyy."

He slow turns his head to stare at you.  Out of everything you could've done, this is what you chose to do?

"I have nobodyyyy for myy ownnnnnnnNNNN."

He heaves a heavy sigh, leaning his head back with a quiet groan.  This was never going to end.

"I'm so lonely. I'm... Mr. Lonelyyy.  Wish I had someone to calll on the phoneeeeeeeEEEE."

He glances at the teacher who takes no notice in the ballad.  He then turns his head to you with a soft glare.  You smirk in return.  Every time he would try and push you away, you'd play this for him.

"Well, if you want to be alone so badly, that's fine by me, Mr. Lonely!" you glared at eight year old Peter.

Since then, it had become regular for you to play this.  As the song ended, you prepare yourself to play it again.  However, you stop as he got up and moves a seat over.  The one next to you.  As he rests in his seat, you smile expectantly.  He rests his head on his palm, looking at you.

"I'm sorry," he whispers with a soft smile.  You grin at him, straightening your posture.

"I guess I'll forgive you, Mr. Lonely."
