If you’ve been following my accounts lately you’ve probably noticed I’ve been drawing a lot of these characters. Well, they’re part of an original story concept between me and some friends, and I’m hoping on making it into something big!
So, in order to help develop the story and see what all needs to be worked on, I’ll be doing a really big AMA post! If you want to know more about the plot, the conflict, the inspirations, the characters, etc, lemme know! Send an ask to my tumblr or leave a comment here and I’ll reveal as much as I can to answer you.
The basic premise: Magical delinquents. In order to help magical star babies grow into full-fledged stars, Starmaster, an immortal magical being, partners them up with children on Earth to feed them positive energy. The kids use these powers to fight evil and otherwise better their world and themselves. This doesn’t always go as planned, however….
The characters: The main character is Babs, in purple. She lives with her deaf father and stepfather, who works at her school. She’s half-Laotian and “speaks” ASA. Other major characters include Carlos (orange) and Parvana (red), as well as Valencia (green) and Amy (white). All the characters are part of a team of Star Warriors that team up every now and again.
The goal: To make a show that is real, a show that takes serious issues on in a respectful and relatable way while not losing its pep and entertainment. The characters will have real backgrounds and flaws that affect them and the story - even the otherworldly beings!
I will answer all the questions sometime before the end of the month, so send questions in as soon as possible! I will post a link to the answers on this picture once it's up.
