I love the idea of Danny wodrking for and eventually taking over an Fenton Works thats grown like crazy since he was 14 and him working from home. It's also fun imagining Sam tearing people who judge him for being a stay at home Dad a new one.
But I never really have a set career for Sam. I can imagine her doing so many things. Mostly things like an artist or a writer or a journalist, or designing and creating video games . But then being a veterinarian or opening up a vegan cafe as well

I headcanon her as working for office in Amity Park - when she was younger she and Mrs Fenton helped set up a department in City Hall that dealt with ghosts (as a way to prevent the GIW from getting full reign of the place) and Maddie was, for a while, the person in charge of that. Β But office life wasn't for her and she had much more important things to do with Jack in building up Fentonworks, so naturally Sam took over the position.

Oooh. That suits her. And she'd probably have some influence in the care of larks and the environment in Amity.

I think this (and the one where the trio are playing video games) will the ones I write a one shot about. The one where they're playing video games is just a cute friendship fic. A bit of DxS but it's not romance, just established they're a couple. And then this one, Sam comes home late from a stressful day at work and Sees Danny with one of the kids on the couch (they had been waiting up for her, Sam is the only one who is able to put the younger son to bed, but he fell asleep because he got really tired) and she just pic their kid up, lies down with Danny and has the baby there too, and then James comes down for a glass of water or whatever and decides he wants part of the Fenton Family Sleeping Pile.

Oh...look, I has more ideas...
I can imagine being a stay at home dad and also helping run Fenton Works which deals with all things Paranormal. After the events of PP, FW becomes one of the world's leading producers in in dealing with the Paranormal and Ghost weaponry and join together with the GIW. After all, the ideas behind their weapons are pretty good, they just need some work.
Then, seeing that FW has potential, Sam's father invests in the company. So basically Danny becomes a Businessman/ weapons designer. Tucker, who has probably become the next Bill Gates, makes technology that is used in the weaponry and Sam serves as a PR person for FW, but that's not her main job.Β
And it's a Green Company, because, let's be honest, Sam wouldn't let it NOT be a green company.Β

It doesn't even have to be a Post-PP thing. Either way, I like messing around with it because it works.
And despite the fact that Sam and Danny are rolling in dough (money from Sam's inheritance which can last them several lifetimes and the fact that her parents likely now how to invest and her father probably does play some role in the factory producing the machines that make the machines that wrap the cellophane around deli toothpicks. Even though there are countless brands of deli toothpicks, they are all created by the same machine, which the Mansons own the rights to) because FW is now a large corporation and Sam's job pays well also.
Still, they don't flaunt it. But that doesn't mean they don't enjoy it.
Fly in coach with the plebeians? NO way!

Adorable. I never thought of it that way, Danny staying home. But then he would know how to handle it when the kid starts to fly or the powers spazz or one of the parents goes to check on the baby in the middle of the night and is all
"Well shit. Kid ain't here."

I can see Danny stuck as a stay at home dad since your reasoning would be the same reasoning I would think of, especially the part about not having to worry about ghost attacks during his shift at work. Danny doesn't get off as lucky as Superman or Batman when it comes to the whole superhero lifestyle.

It's just the way society still is, honestly. Yes, we've come a far way, but people express outrage over a little boy with pink toenail polish or a little boy wearing clothes that are typically for girls. For example, a little boy who dressed up like Daphne from Scooby Doo. The other kids liked it, but the other parents? Oh man.Β
Look at the fact that it's only acceptable for girls to have baby dolls to take care of, and it's only acceptable for boys to stuffed animals under a certain age.Β

That's used for loading gender roles at an early age. They give boy's action figures in which they'll usually play soldier with, thus training them to be soldiers. They give girls baby dolls, thus training them to be mothers. While it doesn't always succeed it is a more of society as a whole no matter where you go. I doubt society will truely change from that because its been that way for centuries. Until we can no longer expect that girls will bare children and men will not fight, its gonna be a fact. Even if men could take care of children and women can fight, its still usually more effective the other way around.=^-^=

Β Women have the capabilities to be just as effective as men as soldiers. I have issues against Israel, but I can appreciate that they treat their male and female soldiers the same. And just because you're a woman, doesn't mean you'll be more effective as a mother. Especially when the mother is unfit to be one. And women, in developed countries at least, are having children later in life and less chiren or even none at all.
Give girls dolls and give boys soldiers, but don't throw a fit when things get switched up. And do switch things up. That's something these people need to learn.
And if they do make a huge deal out of it, they can get a grenade shoved up their anus.

I agree with you, especially the last part, and I never meant women couldn't be good soldier and men couldn't be good care givers. I meant it as more of an instinctual thing. Women have a tendency to be more giving based on instinct and hormones. Men on the other hand tend to be rather aggressive by nature (This is not all men, just most of them) though not necessarily in a violent way. Its these fundamental differences that caused the structure of today even though it is severely flawed. There are even studies that show it wasn't originally this case of course that was before farming. =^-^=
