Okay, so, this is absolutely perfect and I am going to change my icon immediately.
Now that it is done, OMG. This is just... stunning and utterly gorgeous. I love how you chose to use the striated version of the eye and added some beautiful pink accenting to offset the white and darker purples, and how it looks like there are reflections on the scales and facial forms from an offset light source. I am also amazed by the fact you were able to fit in the smaller details of the how their keratin facial 'shell' forms in a sort of concentric ring, notably around the horns and feather crest. Then the soft colors on the throat and how you rendered the gills!
The coloration is spot on and I, man. I cannot put to words how utterly ecstatic and exceedingly happy I am about this. Thank you so, so much for doing this and for keeping true to who they are! It is utterly appreciated. Also seeing how you seem to get them down perfectly, I so plan on commissioning you in the future for a piece. ;;
Edit: I also really like they are facing towards the dialogue box. I love the effect of it appearing as though they are the one talking, hah.
