Description Jumped back into 3DS Max for a spin. Can I create a landscape outside Vue? Creating the mountains from displaced planes based on noise and fractal smoke modifiers. Finally got the hang of fog and clouds in Vray. This will open up some new paths in future works. Reused my old ship, The Dionysos and it's hangar to give the picture a context. Read up on Titanic trivia since I thought it was a good angle, THE maiden voyage.

Some minor postwork in Photoshop. Fake DOF, text etc.

hehe, this is awesome! Love the verbiage you have created for this. Sounds like a legitimate sell! Your ship looks awesome and love what you have done with the mountain formations and your building structures as well. I like how you have taken the "Titanic" perspective with this futuristic haven. A wonderfully creative getaway, travel in style and class to faraway destinations. Yea! Fantastic work Lars. Your getting so good with 3DS Max. whoo hoo!

Thanks Doll, my goal is just getting into the program and play. All the "have to:s" is forbidden. I got to the point when there had to be a deep sub context to everything. A full concept ready to be implemented.

Maybe I work the other way around now Start with something simple... and then maybe find some meaning along the way creating the scene. At least I get past the creative block.

Your most welcome Lars! I hear you. I feel the same way. I think it blocks me all up when I try to create in a regimented format. haha It works much better and feels more relaxed to sort of let your image take you where it wants to go. No pressure, just enjoy the ride. hehe I usually find a good title and meaning along the way as well. It's a great approach and you end up being way more creative when there are no restrictive perimeters to hold you back. Yea! Sounds like a very good plan and I hope it works out for you. Your a very deep thinker anyway and your mind can uncover many new and different things if it's left open. No matter which direction you take, I'm confident you will have an awesome outcome. Your quite a brilliant artist in my opinion and I very much enjoy viewing your work! weeeeeee!

Hopefully this ship won't go down like the Titanic, but it sounds like a lovely trip! I love your ship, and it's nice to see her in action. Excellent wordage for this! I'm sold! Glad to see you've got your 3D hat on again -- you've been gone too long!

I got a ”Fifth Element” feel when I saw the image and read the text. I love how you used the β€œTitanic” as reference. It is a wonderful optimism in the description. I want to live that carefree and adventurous s life rather than the dull and overprotective lifestyle that we have gotten lost in. I am glad that you are creating images again. Book me a suite on the Dionysus... and watch out for ice... asteroids

Super Green! I know what you mean about lack of adventure. Thanks man. Fifth Element is an honor

Wowie! What a beautiful ad! I want to live there! I love your old ship too, it still has that "new car smell" doesn't it? Gorgeous! When can I book a trip? LOL Awesome work Lars!
