call it a "gift" to myself, if you want. i finally did something i enjoyed quite alot working on. i know it lacks depthness and can myself spot several mistakes on Palq's anatomy but i feel a special connection to this picture, which i don't feel like explaining ATM (nothing emo, don't worry)by the way... at the beggining this was intended to be the steppe (xerofile shrubs and bushes) but then, realizing that i need to work more on open spaces, decided for the pure desert. i also tried a style of shading/texturing that i quite like.
i don't know... i love this picture, for personal reasons.
constructive crits are accepted, and i may make some changes as soon as they're not radical (small things)

Ah ya veo a lo que te referias con esta tecnica de sombreado mas suave con lineas delgadas. Se ve muy bien, le da una textura agradable de ver y me encanta como marcaste el relieve que no es facil de hacer con la arena (*toma nota*

personally, I think art is about this. True art isn't for showing off, or making your fans happy.
It's about having personal connections with each and every one of your pieces. Your putting yourself
out into the world in a form that can be either very very fragile or very very strong. I'm very happy
that someone has the balls to put out something like this, not only because you have the confidence
to put out a picture that you have such a connection with but also that you don't care what other
people think.
