Finally, it's here,,, My final artworks of my own SE3P a.k.a Mazda RX-8....I really didn't expect that this artwork would take me a whole month to finish, thanks a lot to my tight schedule...
Okay, I admit that I spice this artwork up a little too much. As I always said before, I'm a total failure when it comes to photography so there's no way I can take pictures of a drifting car. The original photograph which this artwork is based on was taken by my husband, with me inside my parked RX-8. Yep, the car in the actual photograph isn't moving, it's just me playing some little tricks to 'heat up the crowds'...
The person behind the wheel is me, or more exactly the cartoonized me. This is the second trial of me drawing myself in 2D form. The first one was when I drew my avatar (or userpic, you name it) which I still use up to this very moment.
A little message for , Sorry that it takes quite a long while but I'm finally ready for our challenge here, is Alaven ready yet?

ohohoho... Tenang saja... Saya udah latihan dari dulu koq, jadi bisa dibilang teknik saya sekarang udah lumayan lah. Maaf nih, bukan bermaksud nyombong loh yaaa...
Lagian saya juga latihannya di lapangan parkir koq, kan sepi kalau malam, tinggal taruh cone siap latihan deh. Oiya, mobil saya ini bukan mobil yang kenceng juga koq, terakhir diukur pake dyno dynamics cuma dapet 375 rwhp dengan boost 1 bar. Kalau mau dibilang mobilnya jadi korban, bukan mobil saya yang jadi korban, tapi mobil suami saya (Impreza GDB) waktu dulu awal2 latihan, sebelum beli mobil ini. Udah berapa kali tuh bemper depan dipoles buat ngilangin baret.

Well... since photoshop artworks basically consist of layers, I just place the cartoonized me under the 'door' layer. I can do it only in photoshop and Illustrator since they use layered system while I don't really know how to do it in SAI since I've never used it before.

i see... you o everything on layers? im to lazy to do that xD all of my drawings are made on one layer and some exceptions are made in 2

Well... You have to move from that point if you want to become better. 1 layer for a single artwork isn't enough, except if you're working on a painting. For your information, I usually use up to 250+ layers on my car artworks that they slow my computer down everytime I open them. Now I reduce the number of layers to about 160+ and it works, my computer isn't as slow as before.

Oh, so you work on paintings? I always want to learn digital painting so maybe you can teach me some basic stuffs about it, like the required equipments and such. That would be a great help for a beginner like me, thanks in advance, btw...

Yea... that's why instead of taking it's photograph when it was drifting, I decided to park it and let my husband do the photoshoot. The rest is just like I said above, playing some little tricks to 'heat up the crowds'...

Countersteer...? In the actual photograph I turned the steering wheel a few degrees and therefore I think it's enough to make countersteering effect.
But I guess you're right. Seems like I did mistakes again this time. The front wheels don't seem to turn in this picture. Oh well... maybe I'll revise it next time I have the chance but for now I'll just take note of this suggestion.

Full opposite lock, eh? Seems like I was being lazy there by just tapping the steering wheels instead of grabbing it to turn it.

Well... as I said above, I wasn't actually drifting when the real photograph was taken, instead, the car was parked. So it's all just some plays on effects. I have to admit that I'm so glad that it turns our pretty well, though.
