Description After details of Andrew Morton’s Captain America bio are released, the Enquirer takes Tony’s soundbite and manages to turn it into an entire story.

‘it’s true, the whole lot. Including the part where he was involved in some grand love triangle between Agent Carter and my dad. She’s really my mom, you know?’

Rumour has it Pepper is currently convincing Stark to quit trolling the press, but it’s a slow process.

Yeah he would have to be trolling them. His mother's name is Maria, in the comics her full name is given as Maria Collins Carbonell Stark. Peggy's real name is Margaret Carter. Very funny though.

Again, this is satirical I'm well aware of Tony's mother's real name, but the point of this is to parody the ridiculous, sensationalised, and often unfounded headlines you see in tabloid journalism. Quotes out of context, dodgy sources, or things said in jest that they twist into a serious story - it's all what we consume on a daily basis

Which is why I don't pay much attention to media. But your stuff is absolutely hilarious and I can imagine this as the sort of thing press would be spinning if they were real. It's even funnier since I know what their twisting and what is absolute garbage so I can laugh away at the idiots who would believe it and write that sort of thing in real life. You have a brilliant mind, I applaud you.

That really is a funny headline that just might pan out as a plot point in later Marvel movies.

However, if I might add one bit of critique.  I don't think including small references to real-life tragedies like the Boston Marathon bombing is appropriate in an otherwise clever joke piece like this one.

Well to be fair, I think it's highly unlikely, mostly due to Peggy being over fifty when Tony was born!

To address your other issue, I don't believe in erasure of events. I apologise if this in any way offended you. This project is about satirising the media just as much as it's about creating something fun for MCU fans, and the headline about Boston is a direct jab at the Enquirer and their sensational, scaremongering tactics.
