It was another gray morning, the dew still hanging in the air, clinging to my lashes. (As if it wanted to make up for the tears I wouldn’t allow to come.)
Breathe in, breathe out. It’s slightly comforting to see your warm breath in the cold morning air. (At least it means you’re not as cold as you feel inside.)
It’s another gray day, the clouds never part, the sun never shows. (The world looks just as heavy as it feels.)
Something I wrote in December. I want to share my writing more.

Excellent, both the photo and the poetry!
Both remind me of a chorus to a song I wrote many years ago:
"Its a long cold winter in this far-north town ... Will we ever find a way back to the summertime?"
