It is hard not to notice the presence of the Spirit of Crystals when they can't help but shine (quite literally) wherever they go. The face they wear, one set in stone, has a way of making them seem cold and unapproachable, but underneath the hardened exterior their heart is as soft as it comes. Pure and untainted, worn always on their sleeves because quite frankly, they have no idea how to take it off.

To the surprise of many, Crystal is incredible easy to befriend and despite rarely breaking into a smile (something that they attest to being able to do) they can be a very warm and welcoming presence. Their transparent nature leads to their being incapable of telling lies, they are unconsciously truthful to a fault and they seemingly have no idea how to be anything but sincere and loyal to those they trust and care for.

Once they have a goal in mind, Crystal is willing to do everything in their power to accomplish it, regardless of how long it may take. Patience is known to be one of their biggest virtues. Having lived most of their life as a hermit, they seem naturally predisposed to secluding themselves when they have their mind in the clouds. They naturally gravitate towards places that are quiet, finding silence and darkness comforting when in need of a moment to themselves. Their inquisitive nature leads to daily trips to the library where they do all they can to absorb whatever knowledge they can and are in need of through self-study but they still have much and more to learn. This is especially true when it comes to modern day lingo and technologies that are outside of their own circle of interest.

Although Crystal can be distant, it is mostly unintentional - sometimes they forget that they can share their thoughts and feelings with others and need help to coax themselves out of their crystal shell.

A wandering crystal spirit...

Born within the deepest depths of a giant crystal cave, Crystal who always addresses and introduces themselves to others as Crys is a crystal spirit. Pure of heart, transparent, and possessing an unwavering spirit they lived in peaceful solitude for half a century within the confines of the cave they were born in. That is, until humans possessed by Maeros spirits managed to dig their way into their safe haven underground.

Upon the arrival of the intruders that had broken through the crystal cave's walls, the Goddess's voice which they have only been able to hear brief whispers of in passing rang loud and clear in their ears and jolted them into action - run.

They were not foolish enough to attempt to defeat the intruders on their own (instinctively aware of the limited knowledge and power they possessed), and so they trusted in the Goddess's voice guiding them instead. Somehow managing to make do with a well-timed, well-executed grand escape that left them miraculously unscathed and the intruders woefully confused, trapped within the cave.

They made their way slowly to EA with the help of some kind spirits pointing the way. After seeing the world for the first time and coming into contact with numerous humans on their way that were eager to help them and teach them; despite realising that they would not be in their memories for too long they became inwardly determined. They decided that they would do all in their power to serve the Goddess and aid others that were in need - empyreal, aevumis and humans all. For that, they would need to become stronger. With that in mind, they spent many decades after arriving in EA dedicating their time and efforts into training, learning and seeking... someone. Their search was fruitless until many years later - when they found that someone in Riri.

They're a shiny rock spirit that sparkles like a diamond always and they cannot turn it off (it is both a blessing and a curse). Even in their human disguise their eyes sparkle (particularly when standing in natural sunlight).
