Spread from my final year project, an illustrated children's book called The Great Toy Escape,
The book is a subliminal critique of gender-stereotypes in toys, the story takes place in a toy factory, where some defective toys - that were threatened to be thrown away because they do not "fit the standards" of gender - are trying to escape.
This spread shows the room of the factory called the Parlor, where all the perfect pretty dolls are made.
