What do you figure a baby therizinosaur would look like? They had such a different look as adults, one must be curious as to what a young one would look like, but I don't think I've ever seen any drawings or other depictions of one, and I don't have the knowledge to make any sort of educated guess myself, really...This is my not-based-on-any-sort-of-fact idea for one... Tiny and fluffy. Do you think they would have had similar proportions to an adult one, or different? How large would the claws be? I drew mine as similar to the adults, I think, but far less extreme. And with the baby fluff covering up parts of the anatomy.
And the next question - how did these guys even make it until they were adult? Could they run? Seems unlikely with the claws, unless they were much smaller. Using the claws? Doubt a predator much larger than them would be intimidated. Maybe they stayed near the adults? Or hid in a certain type of environment? Who knows. Interesting stuff to think about, not just for these dinos but for all of them

I've heard of some birds carrying their young. I can imagine an adult sitting down and the infants climbing up onto the back as they moved from place to place then being let down when time to feed since I imagine the adult stretching up to reach tall branches. Or like some other large flightless birds, the babies stayed near the adults.
I do like the striped pattern, it goes with similar patterns I've seen on baby birds that need to blend into their surroundings.

Awesome. While I don't think it should have had feathers, thats my scientific opinion, and in no way makes this any less of a great piece of artwork. It's one of a kind on DA too.

This is freaking adrable. As to how they made it to adulthood, could be babies had different proportions (longer legs for better running?) or simply employed the sea turtle strategy like sauropods (produce so many helpless babies the predators can't possibly eat all of them).
