how is winter season treating you?PS: about what is that breed, I'll leave to you guys to guess. (people who know my dog Arnaq: shhh okay?)

My guess would be GrΓΈnlandshunden or Greenland Husky. Not entirely sure though. Beautiful shot

As for the breed, I'm gonna guess either Siberian Husky x German Shepherd or East Siberian Lilaka

Its not a husky unless he was mixed with something, huskies have very reconizable black bodies with trademark white spots above the eyes and underbellies

Alaskan Huskies are different from Siberian. Besides, not all Siberian Huskies are black.

Ugh it was -40 here today, I think this whole winter we've had about 2 weeks worth of days warmer than -20. The warm days are fun though, we've had so much snow this year(about 2.5m so far) so when my dog and I go walking we trek through waist deep snow! It's quite the workout!
Lovely picture as well! I thought it was a painting at first! I would just look silly if I tried to guess the breed...I would guess some sort of Husky, like a Greenland Dog, but if it were that easy you wouldn't have us guess am i right?

Ugh, -40 is def out of my comfort zone of feeling. We had -20 and I was ugh so-so with it but I can't imagine to live with -40. Where in canada do you live?

Grande Prairie Alberta. Winters can be terrible, and the reason it's usually so cold is because of the wind chill too which for me makes it even worse. Though this winter is much better than last winter when we got a week and a half straight of -40 or colder. At least this year every day varies.

Alaskan Malamute? Husky just doesn't seem right, and if it is it would have to be a Siberian.

No malamutes have similar markings of huskies, unless its a mixed dog
