Description The Mickey doll I've been working on from that 80-year-old pattern.

He's almost done! Just gotta get the hands and feet made and attached, then finish the facial details instead of leaving placeholders forever >XD

Next time around, I might purposefully make it look creepy like the dolls I've seen elsewhere >_>

I'd say this is a great recreation of the original plush doll.

...But, seriously, I do want to make a doll that's purposefully creepy at one point. There's something off about the European vintage Mickey dolls, with their eerie toothy smiles and coy eyes... Sure, they're a bit charming when they're new, but a bit of time ages them and makes them look frightening >XD

I'm loving what you're doing here, great idea to pay tribute to the vintage Mickey dolls you always saw Walt surround himself with.

Yes! Those very dolls! I saw them on that black and white photo years ago and always wanted one (but, EGADS, to find an original whether it was made by the original creator, or just someone that had the pattern,... They cost an arm and a leg!!)
I was always charmed by the dolls for some reason X3
