Like I said in the preview posted yesterday on my tumblr, I don't draw Al and the Xing gang enough, also I have a serious problem drawing men suits and vest and all that stuff; but I also love formal clothing and my otps so I wanted to practice, and here we are!
Gala FMA ft EdMeta, Royai, AlJulia and the Xing gang slightly LingFan shh.
Sort of a remake of this old EdMeta pic , with more art skills and improved Meta. Royai is always a must, no more reasons are needed.
In the other hand, several people on tumblr have requested me to draw the Xing gang and other BH charas (like Julia) in FMA 03 style, so I mashed up all of that and this pic was born.
The Xing gang has hybrid clothing, half Xingese formal clothing, half Amestrian, I think that suited them perfectly considering how much they spent on Amestris.

About LanFan specificaly, I was going to draw her without the automail first but with the concept of "well it's AU LanFan possibly located in the 03/CoS verse so she should be different?", but then I remembered how people do the same thing with Ed for "aesthetic" reasons, specially Ed shippy pics, both 03 and BH Ed, and it's probably the most ridic thing ever to ignore the fact he has 2 or 1 automail limbs respectively in order to make him look "more presentable" with their significant other (stop the automail erasure

Originally they were supposed to go on individual images because THEY WERE drawn individually except for Royai, but at the end the pics of my pairings matched too well to let this chance go XD

Thank you so much, for drawing the Xing gang in an approximate 03 style. I absolutely love, love Ling, Lan Fan and Mei and honestly the lack of their (and Olivier's) presence in 03 makes me sad but I do still love the 03 style.

it seems like the Xingese have reds and purples. Maybe their flag is either red or purple and the military uniforms are either red or purple too based on what we already know and would be a good contrast to Amestris's green flag and blue uniforms.

¡Ah!, no sabes la ilusión que me hizo ver este dibujo: no sólo me encantan los dibujos de pareja, sino ver rediseños de personajes, sobretodo cuando se intenta emular a la serie del 2003.
Mira por donde, a Julia la diseñé también con un tono de piel moreno (nuevamente vuelve a manifestarse las ondas telepáticas). Debe ser por esa manía que tengo de evitar que las chicas siempre luzcan pálidas para evitar los clichés, de modo que me alegro que hayamos pensado lo mismo. Como única diferencia señalaré -para no asustar- que la manera en que yo le dibujé el fleco y los ojos era diferente. Precisamente, andaba tiempo queriendo preguntarte, para un proyecto que me llevará bastante tiempo, si debería juntar a Al con May o con Julia. Con este dibujo ya veo lo que opinas al respecto :3
Están todos fabulosos, pero a mis ojos nunca pasa desapercibido el EdMeta, sin duda alguna ellos son los reyes de la fiesta. Que, por cierto, el viejo dibujo en el que te basaste tampoco está nada mal, aunque este sea su versión mejorada.
A la que no he reconocido inicialmente ha sido a Lan Fan, principalmente por su color de pelo, pero creo que esa tonalidad le queda bien, más que nada porque con las facciones que tenía en el manga, muchas veces pensé que parecía la versión femenina de Roy: tenía el fleco y la forma de ojos idénticos a él. Creo que era tan importante el asunto que hasta en Brotherhood le cambiaron un poco la forma de ojos, de manera que quedara más redondeada (también puede que fuera por el fanservice de hacerla más linda), tal y como la has hecho tú. Por eso, creo que es mejor de que destaque como personaje diferenciable.
Sobre May, ¿es a eso a lo que te referías cuando dijiste que tendrías que dibujar muchas trenzas? XD La verdad es que está preciosa con ese recogido, por fin parece una persona adulta, que con el peinado que le hicieron al final de las series me seguía pareciendo bastante niña. Y le hiciste el flequillo de Nina (sería hacerle un buen homenaje a un personaje al cuál siempre he creído que, en parte, encarna).
