Had this idea since summer, but then it kinda...ended. Yea. Nevertheless, it's probably summer out there somewhere, so sharing anyways!A personal piece featuring OCs belonging to and !
I worked on this piece on and off for roughly the past two months. I took it extremely slow partly because it was experimental. I'm still getting used to drawing more than one character interacting with others, and I've been trying out more variance in colors, trying to get comfortable with hues and saturation. Also drawing grade-AAA butts. This was mostly because I'm honestly very unsure about my sense of coloring, and it's bothered me for a good while. Really thankful for both Hyan and Vi in providing me feedback and suggestions as I drew this.
Originally I was going to draw the characters wearing a type of swimsuit that I stumbled upon on Twitter: twitter.com/rittchi_0619/statu… but that changed and settled after including more characters and adding variety to them. Kept the original swimsuit on Niwa to accentuate the butt B) by the end, it was complex enough to not not have a background so that was thrown in as well. Overall I'm sure I used around 20 refs for figuring out all the loose ends on this > 3> I hope you guys like it!~

I love this drawing! I can totally see how strong your bond is with your friends through your OCs expressions. The background is painted really nicely too without taking away the focus from the characters!

I HONESTLY HAVE NO IDEA--- this was all experimental so I took a lot of extra time with playing around with colors and mixing new things in out of my comfort zone. Tbh I spent a whole day on just nothing but skin orz
I really love how it turned out as well! I feel like I understand colors a lot more after trying them out with this piece o wo for the background, I used a reference; I think I used like....20 references? Or something close to it lol
Peach is a 12-year-old loli canonically! So by that extent, she can't be taller than 5'-5" or so (I don't know how much this is in centimeters > 3>')

20 references is way overwhelming! Well, as long as it works for you then why not?
Oh i see, I get confused sometimes since Vi draws her at an older age or sometimes like a 5 year old in my opinion(maybe cuz of chibi form)

It's definitely something I wanted to overcome among the hurdles I've yet to hop with art, but I'm glad I got it out of the way; 20 refs isn't too bad if they help you cover all your weak points and stuff you didn't study to memory enough lmao
Vi had 2 iterations of her, and when she usually draws her as fairly old, it's the smaller things in the style and her appearance that implies she's younger than she looks

Soo adorable;;;;; I love how much interaction and expression is in the characters and composition, and the colouring is perfect for summertime ~ my favourite is the girl in green (idk the name eeep) just cus her expression is gold and the colour choices are en pointe <3333

More or less! I've been at it on and off for an hour or so most days and just...left it lingering on some because of experimentations xD In fact, in the beginning it was going to be just 2 characters, but after a lot of things, I went for the challenge and added 2 more and customized and editted a lot x) it was really fun!
