I was re-watching some episodes of Dragon Ball Z when I was how Piccolo was training Gohan. He was beating Gohan to a pulp and entire time I was thinking never have kids!! Gohan was 4 and he was doing this while training him. Screenshot from episode 18 of Dragon Ball ZAnime: Dragon Ball Z

Awww. Why not? He apologised for it later and said he only did it because he knew Gohan could handle it. Besides, he did soften a lot over the years. Me and many of his fans always hoped he'd have a kid or kids of his own but he never had any.
