Description Lineization is a new skin from NovaSev. One of my best works up to this point in my opinion. Minimization meets functional resources... This shot shows the light colored icons which will be coming later as well as some different values in the styles then what is default. Doesn't change the over all look of it that much though - just gives you an idea what is possible.

I hope you like the skin, get in touch with me if you need anything at all. Thank you.

Hi mate, love the Skin. However when I change the weather code to my local code (NZXX0006) the weather icon and description no longer display. Is there any way to fix this? Cheers

Are you refreshing the skin after the code is put in? I tried your code on mine and it's working just fine...

Thank you for this wonderful rainmeter skin. i just have one little question. How do you change the font being used in the skin? I tried to add a different font by placing it in the resources folder and putting the name of it in the .ini file but it doesn't work. If you could help I'd appreciate it.

NovaSev In reply to manofsins [2013-04-22 15:16:24 +0000 UTC]

Well that's really the only way lol. You'll see in the .ini Font=GeosansLight which is what you'll need to change. Some font names are tricky to get right as far as how they are called up. I remember seeing a lot of info about this on the Rainmeter Forum which you should look up. That is how you'll want to change the font though. Also, I've noticed in the past that some fonts just DO NOT work at all with Rainmeter. It may help if you install the font on your system. Sorry it's a pain, glad you like the skin though.

manofsins In reply to NovaSev [2013-04-23 03:17:56 +0000 UTC]

Thanks for your reply. I have looked through the forums at Rainmeter, however, I could not find anything that could help me. the font that i wish to use was ITCAvantGardePro-Bk if that could help you figure out the problem. If you can't help that is fine and thank you again for your time.

NovaSev In reply to manofsins [2013-04-23 04:13:03 +0000 UTC]

Well - try installing it on your system first. If you can also copy a link of where to download it and I'll give it a shot as well.

manofsins In reply to NovaSev [2013-04-23 05:42:20 +0000 UTC]

I have installed it and it still doesn't work. Here's the link . If you can't do anything, it's fine. Your meter is awesome already.

NovaSev In reply to manofsins [2013-04-23 15:05:39 +0000 UTC]

Well I tried it as well, doesn't work. I've had this issue before and I have no professional explanation for you lol. After looking at the properties for this font and the one I use - it gives different values for the "font embeddability" with mine being installable and your ITC only being preview/print. So I think that might be an issue possibly - it's the only thing I can find. I'll ask a friend of mine and see if there is any kind of way to get this fixed up or if its just a font issue that can't be dealt with really.

By the way, I'm new to Google Docs - how did you send that to me, or make it available on my account? Pretty cool.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

manofsins In reply to NovaSev [2013-04-24 00:57:28 +0000 UTC]

I don't know if it was because I sent it to you or something, but I was able to install it on computer. So that's weird. If your friend can find the issue, then give him a big pat on the back as well as a hug from from me because i would owe him alot. If he can't find it, then still give him the pat and hug lol. It was easy to give you the link, just place the file in your google drive, once imported, select it, go to share, then you get a link. Make sure to change the viewing permissions to those who have the link. Voila! Send files around the world in 30 seconds!

Nice - well that's pretty cool. Did you name it differently in the file or exactly the same?

Thanks for the word about the google drive - pretty cool.

manofsins In reply to NovaSev [2013-04-24 03:35:01 +0000 UTC]

Your welcome, I am happy to help you in anyway I can. I didn't touch the file nor it's name at all. There's another font that I want to see if it could work with which is the same font but just thinner and lighter. If either font doesn't work, I salute you. If either or both work, I hug you till the end of time.

NovaSev In reply to manofsins [2013-04-24 04:48:22 +0000 UTC]

haha, sounds good Hope you can get them working. I like those fonts for sure. Just not very well versed in the aspects of installing/dealing with fonts at all let alone Rainmeter. Would love to see a screen capture after you're done - either here or on my Facebook page so others can see as well.

manofsins In reply to NovaSev [2013-04-24 06:41:32 +0000 UTC]

I have tried all I could to change the font, I have changed the .ini that doesn't even resemble the original anymore. If you could atleast tell me how you we able to achieve that skinny font look in your preview, I'd be really grateful and either way would share my desktop.

NovaSev In reply to manofsins [2013-04-24 06:46:31 +0000 UTC]

Oh, it should already do it. Like I said earlier - this is a weak area of mine. The font is included in the @Resources folder of the Lineization folder. I'm not sure why it's not picking it up. Worst case scenario, install that font to your computer and refresh the skin. Sorry for the issues mate.

manofsins In reply to NovaSev [2013-04-24 06:57:55 +0000 UTC]

This is what I have currently. I have installed the font and all. I guess this is the new worst-case scenario? I can send my .ini file to see if there are any issues with it

NovaSev In reply to manofsins [2013-04-24 07:10:21 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, that's with out the font showing up. You're variable should look like this: Font=GeosansLight and then make sure you're calling the font variable in each of your styles like this: FontFace=#Font#

After that you should be good to go. I'm going to have to ask some people about this issue, some professionals. I'm almost certain it's something simple that I don't know about for some noob reason or another Sorry mate, I'll get this sorted out for you.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

manofsins In reply to NovaSev [2013-04-24 07:21:29 +0000 UTC]

I have both of those things as well since I reinstalled the skin and just changed the color values. It most likely is something nooby. No worries, either way it's good. I would use it either way so don't worry about it.

NovaSev In reply to manofsins [2013-04-24 07:24:11 +0000 UTC]

Well I want to get it sorted out just in case it's something that I'm not doing. I'll get back to you soon as I figure it out.

NovaSev In reply to melginmorales [2013-03-17 21:16:12 +0000 UTC]

There is a comment in the .ini file for it. The link for how to change the time formats is at the bottom of this comment. Once you find the format that you want it in - right click on the skin, select Edit Skin, scroll down to where you see [measureTime] and replace that part of the code with the one you want.
