omg, thanks for uploading the speedpaint! This portrait is gorgeous and it was a lot of fun to see the process behind it, plus this is the first time I see someone using straight up colors for shading and it looked so good??? I think it made her skin look very natural in the end
plus those highlights wo w

thank u cande! I want people to be interested in these speed paints cause making it was a lot of fun (but also frustrating cause I'm learning to use adobe premiere and it is CONFUSING) and the idea's been in the back of my mind for a while so yeee
Also ikr a lot of people start there's in greyscale (if that's what u mean) yet shading with color is fun lol. I'm glad her skin and everything look more natural because of it tho! Also just trying to break the habit of starting in greyscale, I heard it's better if u shade in color first or something???
thank u, she shiny

Phew, thats a relief, I know it was kinda choppy in bits ( I forgot to edit out a few frames here and there of the capture, me going on Tumblr etc.) but as long as the core concept got through heck ya I'm planning to do more in the future too, so keep a look out!
I got premiere in this cloud package that was on sale for 20 bucks a month for like a trillion adobe programs, so I thought, oh god, I have to use these at some point like I have the resources I might as well right?
Aw thank u! Greyscale is like, awesome for learning values and shading for sure. I just heard it's good to know how color shading works, v important, so I started just using colors first instead. In fact one of my fav artists, sara tepes (sarucatepes.deviantart.com ) does a bunch of greyscale! It's just another style I guess ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

((there's always torrenting too, tho I've never done it *adobe police sirens in the distance*))
Sara tepes has helped me sm bless her heart

Beautiful work! The hair and the face are both amazing in particular!
I find the fingers are kind of awkward to me, but that may just be me
