Sorry for all the fanart - deal with it.My dad and I watch television with eachother every night. The shows we watch consist of Doctor Who, Venture Bros and Burn Notice.
He makes cracks so I usually draw things during the shows and this came from a huge 14 hour marathon on his day off.

Got some David Tennant as the Doctor, Hunter Gathers, and Michael Westen.

And yeah, I totally love watching our shows but god, he's been so busy that we never do it anymore. I bought his season 3 and 4 of Who and we've yet to have time to watch them ;; or season one of Burn Notice ughhh
My mom is pretty much the same way though, hates allllll of them - but tolerates Doctor Who. She likes nine best and I am totally fine with that attitude XD

I'm at a toss up really... I like Matt Smith actually I find, but I'm still pretty half and half if I liked him as the doctor.
Like, I just saw the special last night where 10 regenerated and...I didn't care for the immediate happening of it and how he reacted first off it was just kinda... bizarre?
I disliked Amy almost 100%, Rory was pretty okay and the doctor... eh. It's hard to live up to 9 and 10 really. Especially David Tennant doing it SO LONG and kind of...having the personality the way even my dad thinks is appropriate. IDK. they need to lighten the mood a bit more often in the show though, got SUPER serious this season ;A;

I was soo mad they changed the Tardis and the sonic screwdriver!! T^T I didn't like Matt in the beginning, kind of squirrelly. I'm still not sure if I like him all that much, but you're right he does have a lot to live up to. I do enjoy the fact that he isn't trying to be David or Christopher. That would be suicide for his Doctor career.
I like Amy's spunk, but she doesn't have much personality yet. I love Rory! XD He is such a lovesick dork! I do agree that it is taken a turn for the serious and was really shocked with the reoccurring theme being so prominent. I know we had "Bad Wolf" and all but it hasn't been quite so in our faces before. I'm worried about what they are going to do now that they don't really have a purpose.

The Tardis and Screwdriver usually change so I wasn't too surprised - I was only annoyed the Tardis is like... ultramarine in color now :T little too dark. And the outer woodgrain is really...odd haha.
I dunno, he grew on me when I marathoned season five but he's still... getting into it it feels like. He has big shoes to fill and he's trying without copying, so hey <3 And Amy just... everyone I know seems to hate Rose for the reason they like Amy XD. Her whole storyline was so... *rubs face* yeah "LOOK HOW IMPORTANT AMY IS LOOOOK." They're not my favorite companions. And then still tagging along now is a bit awkward really pffttt GETTINGMARRIEDANDGOINGWELLOKAYTHEN...
The thing about the theme, I really do agree... I liked Moffat's writing and team on old seasons but on his own just idk :T I miss RTD's little dumb/good episodes. and I'm really curious where the story will go now - but the Christmas special is gonna air for America really immediately close and uncut from the UK date for the first time ever ;u;

IT WAS SO DRASTIC!!!! The inside looks like a plastic TV rave! The screwdriver didn't bother me as much, because it fits him. The inside was just such a big change...
I know I'm so excited about that! I can't wait for the Christmas episode!XD I heard they are doing the season in two separate parts, so maybe they are going to use the time to gauge the audience's reaction? I don't know, I just want some of the fun back into it. Although I did enjoy them bringing back the Angels and furthering the Angel's characters.
I liked Rose. I always have. I can't see why everyone else seems to hate her. I think she was just what the Doctor needed at the time. *shrug* She wouldn't be a good companion now, but why would she want to be? She has her own Doctor clone to be with.
I wonder how it is going to be with Amy and Rory married. DO you think they will still play the jealousy part with Rory and the Doctor? I'm hoping they do but now that he is married to her he might be more comfortable in his skin.

Yeah 9 to 10's tardis interior was a much smaller change, it was a bit drastic, and odd but eh. Grew on you like everything else ;; it had doorways, which I did like. Finally showed us where the Tardis GOES since it has expansive libraries and rooms you know?
The angels segment was SUPER long but god, it was really fantastic *__* it was my favorite of the season really. They might be doing like what Venture did, because it's such a long wait between seasons they might be doing two parts to make the wait be LESS? Instead of a year, it's 6 months. It's REALLY helpful to fans <3 I would like some more comedy funtimes but I doubt there will be more of that. Ah well, though I think I miss it more since I watched all that behind the scenes stuff with dad finally pfffttt :<
And yeah like.. Rose is my favorite "COMPANION" but Donna is....totally my favorite aside from lolrommmmmantically ;A;... god damn that was sad. I dunno. Romance + Doctor Who = "LOL EXCUSE ME WTF DO YOU THING YOU'RE DOING??" in the fanbase. WHATEVER MANNN. I think the jealousy is all in Rory really, and I'm sure he'll still act it at times "Hey now who did you marry ;A;" would definitely be something I see him saying haha but yeah it strikes me curious how they'll handle that like...Rory died once. I'd be scared of it happening again man :<

I liked how Donna's character worked but I could never really like Donna. I did almost cry when he has to erase her memory. I was like: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! *sob* I feel like she got the biggest shaft of all...
I hope Rory does do that whole who did you marry bit. It might add some humor in the all too serious Doctor Who.

You disliked Donna? D: any particular reason? I really liked her, she was that "not gonna put up with your shit" friend the doctor needed in my opinion haha. She really did get the shaft though ;A; just.... all that development GONE!

Logical reason to dislike Donna, that was my first reaction to her, but the character growth through her screentime really flipped that for me ;u; she went from selfish bitch to the woman you'd like to be around and be mates with~
Haha and aw, Rory Shannons <3 and yeah they way they brought him back was pretty brill, really loved it. The whole...finale really was pretty good at bringing the theme closed and all the little "WHAT?" things made sense ;u; <3

Oh I loved it!! It explains why the Doctor ended up there. The TARDIS new something. ^-^ I like the fact that the TARDIS is a sentient thing. It makes it more interesting.
