Description How did it come to this?  A lone Wrenial, outcast, in the mud and the rain, striped of honor... and shoes... A HOBO TOOK THEM OK!!!  Destitute and doomed, saying she would never miss the life she left behind, but deep down, wondering what would have happened if she had just kept her big mouth shut...  Now, I know what you're thinking, "what did a member of the inner circle guard do to deserve such a fate?" You flatter me.  Being exiled in the wilderness to die is one of the lighter punishments for high treason.

I just submitted this for feedback!
Why do you ask? well this is one of the first semi line-less pieces that I have done! (the first I have uploaded)
So that is mostly what I want comments on! If you see any way I can improve this style that would be a lot of help!  Also, I would like to know if you like this better or worse then what I have been doing, and if there are any elements you would like to see added to this!

The first paragraph is just something that popped into my head as I was drawing this, you don't have to critique it unless you want too   If you are wondering what a Wrenial is, it's just the name I decided to give to her species.  I thought it would sound better than, 'A lone human with wings' ^^

The mane this that I wish I had done better with this is the soft shading. I didn't do the layers quite right and it became tedious after a while, so I stopped a little short :/ oh well.

This is deep... so, so deep. I know how that feels. I've been feeling like that everyday, wondering the same thing whenever I'm in doubt or when I struggle because of my problems at home.

But still, this looks good. I love it!

Hi there I am from project comment
I love how you did the wings contrasting to the grass and the rain: having them painted in a softer style makes them stand out - The colour combination are great and man, I wish I was better to draw wings myself The legs seems a little - not uncomfortable but I am not sure I would have drawn them like that - it works though since the feeling I get from the picture is one of sorrow and grief so it is like she just fall to her knees without thinking of a good position to put her legs in :# - The one thing I am not sure about is the thing in front of her in the grass what that is meant to be: the rest is working very well if I may say so
Nice one - keep it up ^v^

Thank you!  The thing in front of her is meant to be a fire, I was going to put some more kindling and stuff by it to try and show what she is building, but I got lazy

From Project Comment (projectcomment.deviantart.com/ ):

Winged folk are the best! (Mine are Daine, and they don't wear shoes as a matter of course. This girl will get used to the discalced life eventually!)

I like the pose and especially her facial expression! I don't know how to fix it, but the execution of her pose looks a little off: her legs seem to be sticking out at odd angles and appear two dimensional. The overall style, I'm sure you'd agree, is one of simple strokes and less detail. (Not a complaint or criticism!) If you ever decide on a more detailed version (and I hope you do!), her feathers could certainly do with some detailing: veins, not so smooth edges, differences in coloration.

I can't quite make out what that is in front of her. Or is it a fire!? It seems tiny in comparison to her and like it was just plopped on the grassy background. The grass around a fire should be flattened out a bit. There should be random branches and bits of kindling nearby, and perhaps her fire starting kit?

I am really very impressed with how you dealt with the positioning of her wings!! Like the Wrenial, Daine have long wings and are able to move them about like they do their arms and hands. I've never attempted a pose like this, though. But I am inspired to give it a try!

Lastly, I like how you depicted the pelting rain! She looks entirely miserable and uncomfortable! What's her name and story? Apart from the dishonour of treasonous action?

Hopefully Wrenial feathers have a good oil coating on them, otherwise, she's going to be hating life once the rain stops and those nice long wings of hers are all drenched and matted!

Thank you for the feedback!  I will put it to good use!  To be honest, the only part of the story I have is in the description.  I may extend it some, idk.  As for her name, I think I'll call her Talicha [Ta-Lee-Sha].

Great! Hope to see more of Talicha and her story in the future!

I love the feeling of this. the sadness and darkness of feeling.
