Description Another pic of Sakin but in this style I come to really enjoy Plus I've the feeling it fits pretty well any kind of universe so... cool
I really like this guy and I hope this may make you want to know more about him... I didn't draw him with his usual boiled netch leather helm so you can see his face but I've drawn the Daedric ruin of Ashurnabitashpi behind and some Dwemer ruins (couldn't find a nice pic of Bthungthumz). I could have added the Dunmer stronghold too but I prefered to let some empty space. Plus if I was to draw all the places he went to I wouldn't be done

Not extremely long but worth reading Prepare to get hooked!

Um his head to shoulder area is not proportionate. And his hands are a little to small as well. As well i think you need a little more to the background. Make the ruins bigger and kind of make it so it surrounds him but doesnt over power him. Make it so he stands out even though there are all these ruins around him. You could also fix up the sketch make it a little cleaner unless your going for the rugged you dont want to mess with me look but all in all i think it is super awesome!

Thank you very much for taking the time to criticize, this is very appreciated and your comment is very constructive and interesting. This will very probably help me a lot with future works, especially regarding the composition.
It's true the proportions aren't exact though I tried to pay a minimum attention with them, I'll try to be more careful with other works though I'm not intending them to be very perfect as sometimes it still looks good... if it starts to look weird though I'll need to fix them!

Thank you very much again

I love the way you wrote the Daedric, and I really like how you drew the background: simply but nicely. Thumbs up, dude!

Thanks^^ I must admit I painted the background directly over screenshot references but I'm satisfied with how I placed the shadows

Handsome and awesome I have few other pics of him in my gallery, also found in the deviation's comment here [link]
He went through some epic stuff and if you've got a little time to spare, his diaries are worth reading =]

Damn, I'm glad someone admits to read it, it's hard to figure out sometimes I plan to start writing the next tomes (which should be funnier since there are quite some crazy people in Morrowind) when I'm done writing the second story of my Drakelowe Mysteries (which are great as well)

Don't hesitate to tell me if there are passages you especially liked or less enjoyed, it would help me greatly to make sure the following texts get even better. I would also appreciate it a lot if you could tell me if the different diaries triggered some emotions like joy, fear, sadness or whatever you may have felt.
I'm sorry to ask for those details but as a writer it's very hard to get feedback nowadays. I try my best to write good stories but it's hard to improve without directions from the audience.

It's np, I'm a writer meineself actually :3

I felt really sad Sakin's friend became a Sleeper actually D: in meine own opinion I'm not a fan of Dagoth Ur 'n his followers... (They always give me nightmares as well... xD) But it filled me with joy in meine heart he was able to escape zat place :3 though I wondered where did his Guar come from? o.O Kinda went downhill for me when he was with a bunch of Dagoth Ur's followers 'n etc xD... made me wonder if he's gonna get turned into a Sleeper too or not D:

I often wonder if his camp would still welcome him back if he returned o: I dunno x3

That's very interesting, I must say I hadn't expected every of those reactions. Regarding the guar, it came from... go figure how it ended there exactly because the diary telling of how it happened was among those who were eaten by the stupid Ash creature (I must say I love this moment of terrible sadness and utter misunderstanding). Sakin seemingly didn't find it worth it to retell where the guar came from.

Regarding the camp there are still chances he would be welcomed as long as he bring the damn bow from the damn burial cave (of course it was a reference to the quest to become clanfriend ). After he did knock out the whole tribe, that's the kind of thing that keeps in memories for long. Sanguine must have laughed that day.

if my predictions are right and if you're like all the other people who read you shouldn't be able to stop after you've read the first tome (it's not much long fortunately)

Very cool! Love the ruins. When you think about it Daedric ruins are an odd thing to exist but I'm guessing they were temples that the ancient Chimer built. Idk. Anyways, very well captures the Ashlands feel of Morrowind.

noxfoxArts In reply to PunkRoctorok [2012-02-06 18:31:41 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, we have ne real knowledge of who actually built them, if it was the Chimer or even the Daedra, who knows since when they've been there... they probably come from the Dawn Era or at least it looks like it could.
Thank you for commenting!
