Description I'm bored, sleepy and trying to keep myself awake. Yeah.

This looks like crap, especially the staff. What the hell was I thinking? I was bored, sleepy and trying to keep myself awake.

I liked Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door a lot. It really tried to be its own game even though it recycled a lot from the first Paper Mario. Uhm...I can't even think lol...
I wish Paper Mario Stick...thinger w/e it's called had more original stuff instead of going back to BOWSER IS THE VILLAIN dumbassery

lol When I was deciding the quote I should use on this, I was actually thinking about his laugh, but the pose itself didn't quite work. Plus, I think that when he laughs the camera is fixed on Mario? e3e

Yeah, that is true, now that I think about it.

Also, I agree with what you said in the description. I just hate how they ended up choosing Bowser to be the main villain again. I don't know about anyone else, but as a villain, I find him to be incredibly overrated. He comes up with the same boring, repetitive plots every time, with little to no variation.

I feel like they tried to make the game more like main series Mario games? Like, just going through the list of bosses, most of them are literally regular enemies from the Mario series with an adjective (Megasparkle Goomba, Tower Power Pokey...).

I think they put too much focus on this new sticker gimmick.
There's no partners, no Peach segments, Luigi barely appears and I found this little gem on the Mario wiki "[...]Bowser does not have any lines of dialogue at all in this game, either in the beginning cutscene or in the final battle/ending."
So basically, Bowser just appears out of nowhere, does his thing without any explanation and then is defeated without cursing Mario's name. This is literally just a main series Mario game. Good bye, awesome comedic writing that characterized Paper Mario, you shall be missed.

According to an Iwata Asks interview, such drastic changes were made between the prototype and the final game, was because Miyamoto thought it was too similar to Thousand-Year Door rehashes are being churned out left and right). In that very same interview, it also revealed that Miyamoto told the team to only use established characters. Lastly, the reason Bowser doesn't speak in the game, is because Miyamoto apparently wasn't happy with the way he was portrayed in the first three games.

I mean, really, WTF? He had an issue with Sticker Star being similar to Thousand-Year Door, which came out eight years ago, and yet he sees no problem with all these New Super Mario Bros. rehashes that are coming out left and right as of late? Really? That is beyond hypocritical, and the very definition of a "double standard".

Also, it's pretty stupid how he got "really angry" (as stated in the interview) about Bowser being given a personality in the RPGs. I guess he'd rather have him be a mindless, rampaging monster like he is in the platformers.

Well, that's depressing. Bowser's only redeemable moments happen in the damn RPG series. And TTYD was epic, I think it's the best game of the series (I'd like to say SPM but that was more plataformer...).

I think the worst offender is New Super Mario Bros. 2. COLLECT THE COINS, GUYS, GOTTA GET 1 MILLION! While introducing nothing new and...what's the plot? Bowser...just...money...? It makes no sense, it doesn't even deserve to be a full title.

The only title where I liked the EVIL LORD BOWSER was in Super Mario Galaxy. I don't know, it had this ultimatum feel to it. But the rest? Bowser is just not a threat anymore, he's playable in spin-off titles, he just lost...his place, I don't know. And I don't care what Nintendo does, he's still going to be a second-rate villain. And the only reason for that is that he has lost so many times.

You've hit the nail right on the head. There are times when Bowser does have his moments, but otherwise, he's almost a complete joke. Like I said before, I find him to be extremely overrated (as a villain), since he comes up with the same boring, repetitive, and predictable plots each and every time, with little to no variation. In a nutshell, all they really consist of is kidnapping Peach/Toadstool, and waiting for Mario and/or Luigi. I think he's much better off as an anti-hero, like he is in most of the RPGs.

As for New Super Mario Bros. 2, I agree with that completely. I've played the game once a few weeks ago while it was on display at a game store in my area, and admittedly, it wasn't an outright terrible game, but at the same time, it just wasn't anything special, due to it being a straight rehash of the Wii game, offering next to nothing new. Honestly, this game (along with Sticker Star and New Super Mario Bros. U) almost made me want to give up on the series entirely.
